One thing you can do to people who care about pronouns is to refuse to use any pronouns at all when referring to them. Just use the proper noun over and over again. It makes the point in a way they can't actually complain about.

Playing 'gotcha' rules lawyering games against the people who both decide the rules and have no qualms against changing them on a whim is dangerous.
