How does she not have a thread yet?

Usada Pekora is an evil rabbit know for abusing NPCs in video games and kicking her friends into lava in minecraft.

I haven't followed her too closely because I find her Japanese very difficult to understand. If anyone's got some lore bits they think I should add to the OP, please tell me, because my knowledge of her can be summed up as "likes attacking NPCs while yelling crucio" and "likes pushing her friends into lava while playing minecraft."

Pekora was the first Vtuber I really got into, I think it was right around the time her and Moona first started interacting that I started watching clips of her. Most of the vtubers I’ve become fans of have been tied to her in some way.

I don't think her importance to the growth of Hololive can be overstated. She and Korone both stand out as being 'game focussed' characters with a big following that emerged out of clips, but Pekora has been more willing to be the public face of the company, and is probably an easier sell as well. While Sora still has the 'daisenpai pull' in terms of 'Who is the face of Hololive?', in practice Pekora has been it, especially in Japan.

She has the third highest sub count in the company behind Gura and Marine, although Suisei will overtake her soon as well. Gura was the biggest beneficiary of that first English speaking generation, and Marine has appeal to pretty much every group that VTubers can theoretically appeal to. But owing to her more NSFW character, she can never quite be the true face of the company like Pekora has been.

Suisei overtaking her will feel a bit like a changing of the guard in terms of how they represent the core of Hololive (which is funny because Pekora is the kouhai of the two, but had much more prominence earlier). Suisei is an all-rounder with a primary focus on singing, which is pretty much exactly what Yagoo 'really' wants (not in the sense that he doesn't like the others, but what Suisei offers is pretty much the core of his vision).
