US Swimmers Vandalize a Gas Station, Lie About Being Robbed - Ryan Lochte: lolcow?

Ryan Lochte first rose to prominence in the 2012 Olympic for being a wingman to Michael Phelps and for saying a lot of really stupid shit, including his catchphrase "Jeah!" He had a reality TV show that was canceled after a season and achieved success again at this year's Olympics. He claimed that he and his friends were robbed at gunpoint by people posing as Rio police officers. The IOC initially denied this, which seems pretty fucked up.

It got more bizarre when Lochte fled the country as a judge demanded that four US swimmers hand over their passports. Two were pulled out of an airplane and detained. Lochte double downed on his claim that he was robbed. Today, security camera footage revealed that Lochte and his friends were extremely intoxicated and urinated on the side of a gas station and destroyed a door. They were apprehended by an armed security guard and forced to pay restitution to the owner. It's believed that they lied to cover up the fact that they were accompanied by women who were not their wives or girlfriends.

How did they think the truth wouldn't come out? Obviously armed robbery of Olympic participants will be investigated throughly by police.

A bunch of Olympians have been robbed in Rio, or they legitimately thought they were robbed because they were so shitfaced when it happened.

This story was so fucked up my original thought was the Rio police are so corrupt they probably did rob these guys and then were just retaliating for them reporting it.

Then I was shocked by the faggotry of this Olympic fuckwad for making up such a crock of shit.

I wondered why anyone would make up such as astoundingly stupid, fucked up story that was not only so transparently false, but was such a direct insult to a sore point of national pride that if it wasn't true, they would go utterly apeshit to disprove it. Which they pretty much did.

Then I realized I was overthinking this bullshit.

These idiots got drunk, got sloppy, fucked some shit up, apparently the cops got called and were on their way. They'd been told tales about robberies in Rio, corrupt cops, whatever, paid off the guy and escaped. Maybe paid off the guy with money that they'd have to explain where it went if it disappeared. So this story.

Lochte, being the older and more experienced asshole degenerate, vamoosed before the cops could get him. The other clowns didn't. Major douche move on his part.

Drunk, stupid people are drunk and stupid.

This is coming from a person who thinks they're hot shit because they know what Chris' farts smell like.
Is this the 4th time I remind you it's out of context?

Look they pissed behind a gas station and the cops tried to extort them. This is Brazil making themselves look bad not the other way around.

Today paparazzi found Lochte's close friend and superior swimming rival Michael Phelps outside a Starbucks in Scotsdale. When asked if he thinks Lochte will escape the controversy unscathed, Phelps responded with an insightful, "We have good people taking care of it, so hopefully."

How did they think the truth wouldn't come out? Obviously armed robbery of Olympic participants will be investigated throughly by police.
Not only that, but it's embarrassing for the host country if it did really happen. Imagine if in 2024, athletes complained about being mugged in LA, Americans would be humiliated. The fact he lied about it makes the Brazilian people angry, and I believe rightfully so.
this is a nonstory and you're exceptional if you come here for the scoop.
Have you tried not clicking on stories of you don't care about?

Bullshit. That's how it looked at first but actual facts that have come out since then make it obvious the reverse is true.

You're not the one who gets to determine whether something is newsworthy or not. If you disagree with this thread, get the fuck out of here. Also you're completely wrong. His teammates who were with him came out and said he was straight up lying.

Here is a good summary by the NYT: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/08/20/sports/olympics/ryan-lochte-swimmers-brazil-rio-case.html?_r=0

The way I see it, both sides are at fault. The US swimmers got drunk and destroyed the gas station while it appears the Rio police may have edited the security camera footage to cover up their actions. What I find interesting is that the American media is taking side of the police when that won't be the case with the American cops.

Take that Trannies and BLM, there's your white male privilege across the globe. I am more excited for their girlfriends and wives, they deserve to know that their men were messing around with easy women, who could easily have been assigned male at birth (knowing Rio).
