Irish people are some of the most obnoxiously obsessed with American politics out of all Europeans. Also a lot of them are strangely hostile towards Americans at least on Reddit, when most Americans either don't think about them at all or love Irish/Celtic stuff like faerie lore and Celtic knotwork. It's always been kinda weird to me.

Deka gets to lean on stock cop drama plots so it has a shitload to work with, and the setting has a lot more than just The Rangers and The Bad Guys, so there's actually some real mystery about what's up with the alien that shows up this week. Lots of eps are just around some random space crook who's got a plan that ends up taking them through Earth, instead of every week The Bad Guy Empire makes their latest plan to blow up Earth
