To really be one of the major players in congress or in a President’s cabinet you need to have connections. I can easily imagine a split-ticket where a state goes pro-abortion but Trump still makes it a safe win.

Florida has an abortion amendment on the ballot that would protect abortion up to viability of the fetus. It could definitely pass (along with the recreational marijuana amendment). That won't prevent Florida from going to Trump, though. People have far more nuanced political beliefs—especially at the local level—than "vote blue/red no matter who."
