This really encapsulates my thoughts. There's been a concerted demoralization effort because frankly, the demoralization of Harris' base over the last month has been super effective. So it's their last play. Look at every data point, and every intrinsic thought.
Is Trump more popular? Yes.
Is Harris less popular than Biden? Yes.
What caused Trump the most pain in last election? Covid. Which is now over.
What caused Harris the most pain in this election? Inflation, which hasn't stopped.
Is there organic energy behind Trump? Yes.
Is there organic energy behind Harris? No.

What has changed, besides a couple outside sources (like the media) saying it has changed. Nothing.
It's a psyop. Right now there are a bunch of "conservative" accounts repeating this: "Men aren't showing up! Kill Tony wrecked the Hispanic vote! Trump is abandoning MI and WI! He has to defend NC! Betting markets are crashing! We're doomed!"

I strongly believe (though admittedly have no evidence) that many of these "conservatives" are willing participants in this psyop. I have a list of names I'm going to watch over the next week to see how they react. I wouldn't be surprised if some of them unmask themselves in the case of a Harris win.

The election was stolen last time, and it can be stolen again, if the margins are close enough. Its hard to not be pessimistic when you have to not only win, but win big enough they can't fraud their way to the white house.
Well the optimistic look is we are actively seeing large instances of fuckery being busted. Gehanna put it best, the higher ups on the dem side aren't flying cover for the true believers fucking with the system, at the same time that the republicans know to be alert for bullshit and are noticing it. Steals are fucking hard and expensive, and it seems they're not interested or willing to fully commit this time.

Not aimed at you, but I have to say the "I prefer to be pessimistic so that I can be right" attitude really rubs me the wrong way It implicitly holds that being 'right' about an internet argument on what might come to pass is more important than the actual events that come to pass themselves. Nobody cares about that imaginary internet score of correct predictions, they'll just remember you as a doomer that gave up on doing shit.

Since this thread is moving so fast, I don't know if anyone posted these ads, but...yikes.

So wait, the Harris campaign has lost men, but is also considering them the great intimidators of people for...who they vote for?

Who writes their scripts? Greta Fucking Gerwig?
Can you source the actual ads and not random news videos covering the ads?

Is this supposed to be pro or anti Trump, now?
That whole thing about Lefties being unable to build a model in their head of how and why right wingers believe things is in full force in ads like that. They really think we're just fundamentally evil, and all they need to do to 'correct' us is tell us that we're being evil and to feel bad about it.

"What happens in the booth, stays in the booth" sounds like someone trying to coerce you into doing weird gay sex acts while hiding it from your spouse. more faggots making ads for other faggots featuring faggots like that "I'm so manly" ad. isn't it even using the same bearded guy?

Can you source the actual ads and not random news videos covering the ads?

Irrelevant to using information to depress the Trump vote.
They could have used dark money PAC's to attack Trump on Vaccines, being a cuck to the media, not doing anything to drain the swamp, his NIH funding the creation of covid-19 in a bioweapons lab in China because he had zero control over the government.

There's a giant list the left doesn't know about because they hang out in hugbox A-log groups.
I think another user laid it out better than me. But the modern progressive group think has rapidly narrowed in what can be said in acceptable company compared to twenty years ago.
Imagine your a late Gen X/Millenial let's say you grew up in a slightly oppressive Baptist household and you didn't have the exclusive religious community. It's the 1990s early 2000s you expand your mind when you go to college. You shake off the Christian conservative USA programming and adopt the religion is for sheeple man attitude. But it's the 2000s and culture was all about fuck your conservative family fuck bush and the Iraq War. Jebus nonsense is dumb and porn is actually good.
It's 2008 Obama wins and like progressive Jesus winning. Suddenly you're vindicated your dumb religious hicks are stupid and when Romney wins handedly you manage to shame everyone into saying yes to gay Marriage and shame anyone who still has a confederate flag as a secret or obviously evil bigot. You get to dominate the debate and even Glenn beck admits the statues gotta come down because they're built on oppression.
Then you have Donald Trump who is a new Yorker real estate guy who fucks your plan up. Spend the next 4 years claiming you're the resistance +riots and covid and use a monkey paw of friends in the media and corporations and government to ensure he doesn't win. January 6th ensues and despite all attempts to make it look like a insurrection it looks like boomers who waltzed in and someone shat in Nancy Pelosi's desk.
Despite all the rhetoric most people find it hilarious and now your panicking because the guy who survived assassination attempts and jail attempts is about to win in 2024 and destroy your progressive agenda.
We're in danger folks because the people who said orange Hitler is in power will lose their shit.

But at least some Democrats think they may be pulling their biggest punch: That the Apartheid-era South Africa-born billionaire is an outsider messing with America’s homeland." :story:

Everyone should read this article because it's full of howlers. Elon is a US citizen, so the argument is rooted in right-wing criticism of figures like Ilhan Omar, an immigrant who has used her position in the US government to advance her tribe's interests rather than those of the American people.

Democrats in the article are mad because their wild hypocrisy is being brought to a heel. They're used to making retarded, insincere arguments that violate their own principles because winning is the only thing that matters. As with the post October 7th pro-Palestinian movement on the left or James Carville's frustration at certain fat bitches and faggots, the confusion is genuine.
James-Carville.jpeg
"A rooster one day and a feather duster the next!" James Carville caught in a moment of (D)espondency

Many establishment Dems have not adapted to the new political realities of hard to control browns and sensitive screamers. They’re having to make compromises and they really resent it. At the same time, right-wing populism and platforms like X have created resistance to leftist/Dem propaganda, tactics, and ideology. Even without touchy special interest groups cramping their style, the dirty pragmatism and obvious lies of the Clinton/Obama era would be hard to get away with.

Thanks for sharing this @The Mass Shooter Ron Soye , Democrat tears always bring some sunshine to my day.

Us conservatives are so evil. We want dreadful things like safe communities, healthy and happy families, and a strong military to protect us from evil-doers abroad. The liberals are there to protect your right to... kill your unborn child, get raped by illegal immigrants, get bullied by foreign dictators, and have functionless currency!

🤷‍♂️
Genuinely, sincerely, honestly, in good-faith, I ask you to elaborate how any member of the Cheney family having any amount of influence has improved the standing of the United States domestically and abroad.
That user rarely elaborates on anything.

I feel they know the chance of Trump winning is higher than their rigging working. The people hate them. Losing for a season and regrouping while keeping quiet so people forget what you did is honestly their best play at the moment.

I was absolutely losing my shit with that ad, I couldn't write a more exaggerated parody if I tried, if it were any later today I'd be waking up my neighbors with my laughing. This is the shit they actually believe.
I want to be immortal like Elon and have JD rules us for 100 years. The fuck were they thinking with making this ad? This shit is awesome. Now we just need the anime wifus to be real and we have reached Nirvana

At 1:13:00 Baris talks about how he went to the VA to talk to someone just as post-service checkup because as he said "you just need to talk to people" after serving, and the woman knew who he was and was begging him to tell her Trump won't win based on data. He had to tell her boss of the bullshit going on (and he put a stop to it).

He also mentions that the women outvoting men doomposting from earlier in the week was ill advised, and people who weren't staying in their correct lanes (he doesn't say it but he means Charlie Kirk, Ashley St. Clair, Thernovich) were making it much more doom than simply encouraging early voting.
