I personally think adoption would be far better than abortion in the cases of rape, along with harsh punishments for the rapists. With that said, this is not the hill for the pro-life movement to die on. Making it a state issue is the best course for the country.
Marriage is a partnership with a man/woman you respect. You divide the responsibilities needed to build your family, but being the leader does not make the husband better than the wife. It actually means he takes on a lot of burden to protect his family, or at least that is the vow he is making when he marries. But most boys learn that from their father and can be whiny little bitches if they don't have a strong male role model to show them how to behave.

Women can always go to another state where they voted pro-choice. If I needed specialty medical care that isn't supported in my state I would have to travel to a different state to get whatever care I would need done, Why should women be treated any differently? I had a friend who had a back injury that needed a special doctor, he had to travel out of state to get it looked at. I knew someone else who needed surgery on their eye from a specialist, they had to go out of state. You're a woman who got raped and wants an abortion in a pro-life state? You're gonna have to go out of state. It's not the end of the world.

Bush really left the country a mess and was term-limited. Obama was a smooth talker and Bush was known for sounding like a mush-mouthed retard. Obama promised "hope and change" without defining it and promised to reform the health insurance system. Plus he was half-black and talked like he was white. It was enough for whites not to feel a total culture shock. Plus, race relations had really been moving in a positive direction and there wasn't a lot of racial resentment before the election. It was a different time.
As for his policies, he is the one who started the woke shit we are dealing with today.

Firstly, you have to remember that we had 8 years of George W. Bush and people were not happy with his administration. Iraq was a complete boondoggle and the economy crashed. People were very ready for some sort of political change. Barack Obama was an extremely fresh face, won an election no one thought he could, was a much better orator than GWB, and the US zeitgeist at the time was much friendlier to liberal political culture. You had an entire generation of people who grew up watching leftist programming like The Daily Show and were primed to vote accordingly.
Secondly, people thought that all the racial shit would end if we voted Obama into office. Instead, racial shit got way worse.
