If Trump can prove Biden didn't issue the pardons then the pardons are as good as a forgery. But as far as Fauci knows, the pardons are legit, right? Then why is he protecting himself against self incrimination he is immune from, IIRC if you are pardoned then the 5th doesn't apply to you because you are unable to incriminate yourself.

Trump can't rescind any of the pardons. What he can do is rape Fauci with obstruction charges because getting pardoned meant that he lost his 5th Amendment protections for whatever he was pardoned from.
It's important to remind the people upset about this that it's their fault. This is the only way to deal with this problem, and it's because of how they let the system get so broken. Never pass up an opportunity to explain to someone who opposes deportations that it's their fault.
It's very entertaining seeing how many people clearly understand what's wrong with American schools, and what terms they use instead of just saying 'black kids'.
Invalidating the pardon is unprecedented, but the nature of the pardons that were autopenned on Biden’s last day is also unprecedented, and possibly unconstitutional, so it will be interesting to see where it all goes.
This is my understanding as well - you can't invoke the 5th for crimes you've been pardoned for. Fauci's pardon exonerates him for all his government medical work between Jan 2014 and Jan 2025.
Next step is charging Fauci with Contempt of Congress. I'm not holding my breath on that one.
