Yeah I mean why grow crops in a "field" when you can just stick a seed in a pot and water it in your kitchen to get some wheat?
No, it's more like, why does our entire economy need to be diverted into producing server farms when
  • corporate AI projects are mostly failures
  • productivity impacts are mostly negative, it just created a sloppademic
  • it's extremely expensive to operate, even in coding, most of the early gains get clawed back by later token burn
  • 99% of the hype is total bullshit
  • the #1 use apparently is generating really shitty women's erotica/uncanny valley porn

AP: Lindsey Graham died from aorta rupture stemming from hardening of arteries

His father died when he was really young, just a kid and he had to raise his sister. I still can't believe he didn't get any hi-tech treatment. These days we can break it up via ultrasonic, use grinders and stents. Im not a doctor so maybe his condition was too challenging, but still.

so youre gonna vote rubio who wont deport anyone, wont build the wall, wont put israel in check. so how am i a jew for my idea
Why do you assume Rubio is in any way not going to? Are you trying to argue that a second generation Cuban Castizo will somehow have racial solidarity with Mexican and Central American Mestizo's? My brother in Christ, you have no idea the absolute depths of racism that exist in the Latinx community. Rubio is probably more racist towards wetbacks then a Texas Nationalist who thinks joining the USA was a mistake.

Literally everything related to large-scale computing (i.e. anything more than what will fit on your desk) is built to slot into a single industry-standard rack, from network equipment to data storage to GPUs (for the current scapegoat "AI") to computers. You can put 42 servers, routers, disk shelves or whatever on a single rack. You can put dozens of racks in a single row and a hundred rows in the average datacenter. That's a hundred thousand units of rack capacity in one place, on a single raised floor, with ease-of-access to all its power/wiring, network cabling, the industrial-scale cooling units that keep the equipment cooled and the backup generators to provide power to the whole place if the local grid power fails.

I hear you moocow.

Most people and kiwi dont understand scale.

For example I worked with slumlords and property management companies for years.

The best return is not owning a bunch of single family homes all over the country because you d need pay a bunch of crooked people all over the country to repair, paint, turn, rent and protect the homes.

Instead you build a city block sized complex of apartments pay people to live on site, to handle all that shit, aka economy of scale.

Or farming why do we have farming on an industrial scale simple because of the sheer volume of food it produces.

a building full of computers isnt going to do shit to you.

a building full of computers isnt going to do shit to you.
Indeed. It's substantially more environmentally friendly to consolidate that kind of computing horsepower in one place, running one industrial-sized cooling system and containing all that fan noise, etc., under one roof, than it would be to run all those systems elsewhere, on however many hundreds of desks or in closets or whatever, with the requisite hundreds of office building air conditioning units, separate battery backups, not to mention all the fan noise and such.

But good luck convincing the NIMBY's that. They act like "a building with computers in it" is worse than fucking Chernobyl.

Most insane cope I've ever read. How about because all the special interests support him? You really think he would become based and betray them? Marco Rubio is not a person like you and me. He is an entity in politics. He's not acting based on his personal beliefs. That's like babys first redpill

The death of Senator Lindsey Graham has triggered an immediate scramble among South Carolina Republicans to fill his seat, with party leaders maneuvering behind the scenes even as they publicly mourn him, POLITICO reports.

➡️ Governor Henry McMaster will appoint a temporary replacement, while a snap Republican primary is scheduled for August 11, followed by a possible runoff on August 25.

➡️ Senior House Republicans are pressing McMaster not to appoint a sitting representative, warning that doing so would further weaken the GOP’s already narrow House majority.

➡️ Potential contenders include Lieutenant Governor Pamela Evette, Representatives Nancy Mace, Russell Fry, and Ralph Norman, and former Graham challenger Mark Lynch.

➡️ Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has also received encouragement to run, though people close to him say he intends to remain in the administration.
