Whatever it says it is on paper, Libertarianism as a political package has too many problems. Outside of the Libertarian Party's infighting, a fitting practical example of this is the Grafton, New Hampshire Free Town debacle.
Makes sense when you consider how closely lobertardianism was tied in with the nu atheism/atheism+ movement.
It also doesn't help that there is a large scism in the movement between Ron Paul libertarians (are still generally conservative) and Libertarian Party libertarians (needs TP for his butthole).

idk, prob not a system where the federal power is split up in to three parts in direct opposition to each other, which is also in opposition to states rights. The states themselves are generally balanced against institutional power, municipal as well as the power delegated to the people.
