@Polyboros2 the thing with the Dune series is that the six Frank wrote himself are all good, but they do not contain consistent aesthetics. They feel dissimilar, and that’s disappointing because the first novel really hits the spot.

But you’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t make it to God Emperor
yeah it took me a while to get past the first one, I got through the Frank canon and even *shudder* a bit into *doubleshudder* Brian

if you need a movie to hold your hand before the books the Sci-Fi / Euro coproductions are pretty solid, even if the budget is lacking they sorta lean into it nicely with the theatrical cycs, but it def does a nice job getting you along

but yeah as much as OG Dune is removed from Heretics/Children it's a really good payoff to go through God Emperor, after God Emperor is some weird shit that might have been followed-through decently on if Frank didn't die but whatever

God Emperor will never be filmed
or more accurately, there may be a movie that gets every action from God Emperor on screen and it will fail every point of the book, as much of that is Leto II bitching about what a drag it is being god
edit for a song in my head

what a drag it is being god

The RNC? They're sitting on a mere 1.5 billion dollar war chest and barely spending anything as most GOP elections are either lost causes or easy wins so far for them.
Slight refinement of this. Most of that 1.5 bil is tied up in various Trump related organizations that aren't officially part of the RNC. Actual donations are 116 mil or so, which is still way better than the democrats got.

Obviosuly, anyone who doesn't play ball with MAGA won't get to touch that 1.5 bil.

I've stalled out halfway through but I intend to finish it. I read Dune long ago and in anticipation of Villanueva abysmal third movie I decided to revisit Dune and first reading of the next few. Dune did such an amazing job of world building and the assumed potential of the ending was amazing, and everything after just feels blander and takes away from the first book. God Emperor with all its potential feels like 3500 years of wheel spinning for the time to be right for something.
Well, Leto II spends a lot of time monologuing, but I find the meta pretty satisfying, how he took over Paul’s vision to save humanity, and to accomplish the plan he needed to become a sandworm symbiont in order to live long enough to create a docile, abundant species with enough pent up resentment to explode across the galaxy, because he knew humans were going to have to fight the thinking machines again and needed to have certain genetic traits as well as be sufficiently proliferate

Eh, I think Trump is actually pretty weak on 2nd amendment issues. It's where his New Yorker heritage shows the strongest. I think he just knows it's a losing issue both legally and in the court of public opinion so he doesn't bother.
The DOJ is actively involved in a bunch of 2nd amendment lawsuits. That the media doesn't talk about it isn't Trump's fault.

Trump isn't a 90s Democrat. People have some tinted glasses. Where is the assault weapons ban? The WACO and Ruby Ridge raids. That's what I think of when I think 90s DemonKKKrat
Yeah I think they mix up Democrat in the 90s and early 2000s with 90s and early 2000s Democrat. I'd say he's more Republican than we've seen since Teddy left the party though. A golden age Republican. 90s Democrats were actually worse IMHO. Zohran mamdani as retarded as he is never tried to call Pokemon cards dungeons and dragons and video games satanic school shooter pipelines. 90a dems were legitimately fucking vile looking back at Hitlery Clinton's actually genuinely fascistic rhetoric.

And that's ultimately the tea. Dems called Trump and our police Nazis in order to infiltrate them and implement fascist policies like disarming the public, increasing hostility towards our allies that actually fight for us and merging corporations with the state (the definition of fascism). If she won the country would be found dead from 6 or 7 self inflicted shotgun shells to the back. They called Trump Hitler when the only thing Trump had in common with Hitler was his charisma. The difference though is Hitler had to become the very globalist war hawk he swore to oppose to keep Germany afloat because fascism, like all forms of socialism fails when you run out of other peoples money. Meanwhile Trump forced capitalism back in America, and because of that America is once again succeeding and able to fight wars for our allies from a distance.

Conservative isn't a constructive term. Its just used to apply to people who are not liberal. What do you mean by "Conservative"? What ideology do you think constitutes being "Conservative"? For example, I am labelled a "Conservative", but if you were to actually poll my political beliefs, you would find I am a constitutional monarchist with theocratic leaning. Is that what you mean by "Conservative"?
Conservative = wants the universe to continue existing.

Not Conservative = wah wah wah everything isn't perfect I would be a better god than God unmake reality and destroy existence entirely.

As you can see, groypers and doomers are not conservative.

I follow this guy and I generally like him because he's not as much of a blackpiller compared to most, but I can't imagine a world where you could achieve 2 million deportations in less than a year and a half (not 2 years like he says). The Big Beautiful Bill only got passed around this time last year so all the funds needed to do large scale immigration enforcement only would've come into effect in the last couple months.
I get his disappointment, but I figured under a million is the most you could realistically achieve in this time scale. Re: optics, while everything about I.C.E. is invariably going to be unpopular and so many of the controversies surrounding them are usually instigated by agitators, toning things down to regain better optics is the right call. The Renee Good killing was definitely her fault, but the Pretti killing is definitely a little less sympathetic (even though he also put himself in an avoidable situation). Some of their worst optics have been from things that aren't too high profile, and generally I feel they shouldn't be too soyfaced about the whole ordeal and make cringworthy edits on social media. It's better to have people who aren't giddy and impulsive and are realistic in their objectives.

Correct. He's what we thought they basically were before we found the They Live glasses...by which I just mean we actually started paying attention to not just their words, but their actions.

Ah, to be young and ignorant and naive again.

Most people that talk about the 90s democrats were kids then and didn't have to deal with the bullshit. The democrats only got tard wrangled into fiscal responsibility by the Republicans after a short stint of Bill Clinton fucking around.

Again Its like were treating politicans like sports teams rather than what we think they are doing right.
When someone insults a politician we view it as someone insulting our favorite baseball team. Which is completely backwards.
We watch the news to view the newest controversy because we enjoy watching drama subconsciously. Similar to watching true crime shows.
2016 and /v/ culture really set us back like 200 years. Actually just millennials..
If you think that’s a recent development, you’re both unfamiliar with history and a retarded nigger faggot.

I don't disagree he is weak on it, but he also let's his people deal with it. I read the new ATF rulings that came out after Bondi left. Honestly not bad. Doesn't get the giggle switches back, but it's something. Also the DOJ is suing Denver over its AR15 ban, which living out here in the west, LMAO.
If more Dems just left the 2nd amendment thing the fuck alone, I'd hate them a lot less.

I call myself a lolbertarian. I voted for Trump even though I think he's bad economically. But what tips me over the edge (over just voting third party) is the Dems being dogshit with guns and tranny shit.

Also Trump is a funny guy.
The DOJ is actively involved in a bunch of 2nd amendment lawsuits. That the media doesn't talk about it isn't Trump's fault.
Oh definitely. I do follow this stuff.

I mean Trump himself. Comments he's made. He seems pretty personally susceptible to a lot of the fear mongering shit that scares normie suburban people. Like 3d printed guns, FRTs and similar things.

To be fair, only dipshit gun nerds who sperg about this shit, like myself, have the time to read about this stuff and cut through the bullshit. Explaining to my aunt why 3d printed guns aren't a problem and how the negroes in Baltimore aren't using them to massacre us (hint: the negroes in Baltimore don't need to 3d print their guns) is an uphill battle.

For the Dune shit Herbert wrote 3 damn fine books and the series was over in his mind. God Emperor of Dune is the final book, nothing more was needed.

Then Dune went crazy and his publisher drove a dump truck of money to his house and said "you can have this if you give us more Dune". Herbert was like "sure, OK" and promptly shat out 3 dumbass books that were Dune in name only.

I won't even touch the crap that came after his death.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled Jew bashing.

It sort of is, Trump and all politicians have the responsibility to keep voters informed on what they're doing. This is especially true for conservative/right leaning politicians who aren't favored by the media.

Also most of those cases were only launched after Bondi got fired.

Conservative = wants the universe to continue existing.

Not Conservative = wah wah wah everything isn't perfect I would be a better god than God unmake reality and destroy existence entirely.

Conservative means wanting to adhere to Christian traditions. Groypers get mad because Christians don't execute gay people or insult everyone they meet with racial slurs and even allow non-Christians to coexist peacefully so long as they don't try to threaten their values. But the Bible literally tells Christians all of this. Groypers are mad Christianity isn't about hating Jews, but about seeking a personal relationship with Christ. And thus a Christian nation while promoting Christian values in the school and on the media would not arrest you for simply not being Christian. A Christian nation would also be mostly white, but it would let all who seek Christ to seek him. Border laws would be to enforce cultural traditions were kept. But while you can't change the rules if you're not a Christian, a Christian society also wouldn't be a violent one. And it would be very charitable to its citizens. It would embrace capitalism but not corporate socialism. It would allow you to seek wealth but would not promote the idea of using that wealth to change its values.

In essence. A Christian society would still allow nonbelievers and sinners to exist. But as a look, don't touch policy. As Christians don't believe in murdering nonbelievers and heretics. Groypers are effectively just Muslims that are too much of a gay retard to admit it. And they have less of a birth rate than leftists because they're mostly incels. Meanwhile most conservatives have a wife and kids because the Bible commands us to be fruitful and multiply and take care of our families. Groypers don't like that the Bible is about hating the sin but not the sinner. And that refusing to promote faggotry or other religions is not the same as executing people for being troons. As a Christian I don't have to execute a troon. Either I hand them the Bible and tell them how Jesus loves them and forgives them of their sins and they repent. Or they execute themselves. Either way it's not my problem.

Unless they threaten or attack us. Which Iran did. Then it is permissible to go to war. Much like the crusades as an act of self defense. Leave Christians alone and don't try to rule our lands and you can get away with whatever nonviolent retarded shit you please. Just don't expect any of us to agree with it and remember your place. Groypers want Christianity to be a violent, pessimistic, and cruel religion. And we've always been a peaceful, evangelicalistic, and compassionate one. They want Christianity to be Islam.

Trump definitely took inspiration from Ross Perot who couldn't really be pigeonholed as a right wing populist (he supported a lot of policy that could fairly be called left leaning, especially at the time). When Trump ran for the Reform Party in 2000 his policies still strongly resembled Perot's though he definitely did swing to the right between then and actually becoming president.
