Amajor reason trump's popularity has plummeted is that he wasn't extreme enough, to put it in simple terms. In the end districts should really be grouped by having a similar culture and lifestyle, a notion the Communists abhor.

Maybe there should be some sort of restructuring, where cities have more of a say over decisions that solely affect cities, and the countryside has more of a say over decisions that affect the countryside

From a federal standpoint you can gerrymander to your heart's content. You just can't be racist about it. Virginia is being blocked over claim's they are violating Virginia law. Mississippi was blocked over claims that they were violating Federal law which was just reversed. If the Virginia supreme court approves the redistricting, the Republicans will have a hard time getting it overturned using federal courts. Same with Florida. Florida has their own laws on how redistricting has to be done and outside of a very narrow set of rules, their own state laws are the only ones that matter.
