I still don't understand the appeal of Trump. I get that he was a New York real estate person/entertainer who wanted to be the center of attention and also had a reality show called "The Apprentice" but I do not get how despite all the revelations and lack of skill in doing the job he was elected to do that he can still have a cult to himself.
I understand how the culture war has affected how people perceive and do things but politicians should not be using the culture wars as an excuse to neglect their duties. If I managed to get elected for example, I would do the job rather than act like an influencer on social media.
He’s media savvy. He understands entertainment and he uses that to his advantage.
I don’t own a single Trump shirt or hat but I like him because bringing back industries has been my main priority and I like his policies. I’m not a fan of the apprentice and to be honest I don’t like listening to him talk for long periods of time. I don’t blame people for disliking him but I can understand why people like him too. He’s a large personality that reflects the opinion of a lot of plebs have and he knows how to get reactions out of people. He’s basically a proto-YouTuber. A lot of people also like how he pisses others off. He’s like a slightly off color great uncle.
I've even stopped engaging in society mainly because it has become clout based bullshit. Politics, art, random shitposts. If I were to make an attempt at anything, I would have to play the game and get myself a lobotomy so I'm not aware of how superficial shit has become.
I can understand that sentiment. The constant social jockeying can be annoying. It’s impossible to escape. It can be especially annoying when you think you find a group of people that claim to feel the same way. But when you get to know them they’re cuntier than the average Karen and as emotionally secure as a middle schooler.
I really wish humans were more intellectually driven. That we weren’t so petty and influenced by our appetites and social status. Unfortunately anyone that’s observant and honest will realize that humans are social creatures.
It’d be neat if humans operated on rationality but that’s not the case. This is especially true of nerds that think they’re rational and above the based nature of the masses. Theater kids in particular like to be perceived as smart and to be following current thing. Basically, they realize they have a low social status so they compensate by enthusiastically chugging and defending current thing and making it their personality. A lot of their humor is based around not being low status. Breadtube and urbanists appeal to their pride and vanity. It’s all so tiresome. The right has this issue too, especially online and especially when it comes to conservative influencers but generally speaking the more someone cares about how they’re perceived publicly, the more likely they are to be present themselves as a progressive.
I'm convinced that gay conversion therapy works since otherwise there wouldn't be this irrational hostility towards it.

I agree. Humans are more plastic than many of us are comfortable with. It’s possible to rewrite someone’s neural network. That was the idea behind electroshock therapies and also the focus of MK ultra. I would agree that it isn’t pretty and I can understand why people would consider it to be unethical. In terms of human sexuality I’m of the opinion it’s partially genetic, partially social, partially environmental, and that stds can impact behavior.
Family life will impact sexual interests. If someone has a bad relationship with the parent of the opposite sex they’re more likely to have toxic relationships when they grow up. A girl with no father can be more easily preyed upon by men that act fatherly. Likewise, if someone is groped or raped it could impact their sexual behavior even if they’re still straight.
The porn people are exposed to and get off to impacts their behavior. There is a necessary desire to reproduce and when people orgasm it will affect their wiring. The intended purpose is to get us to reproduce but it could easily result in an autist beating it to something idiotic like planes. The more someone beats it to something, the more they’ll be interested in that thing.
I’m of the opinion that a lot of sexual behavior and interests are also spread through social contagion especially in teens and especially in females. The internet has made it infinitely worse. But it impacts men too so friends can make a difference. Social status is also a factor. A lot of the people who claimed to be gay or lesbian in the 00s would discover they were actually trans. Some mothers would also like to be seen as having a gay child in the 00s as an accessory. At least back then the kid wouldn’t get his cock chopped off.
Also there was that study about trans desistance which showed that their sexuality changed over time. Many but not all turned out to be gay. Sexuality imo can change with time but often people tend to think how they feel and act now reflects feelings or desires they used to have.
Technically they also groom people into becoming gay or trans via love bombing and leftist propaganda not unlike many cults. There was also a story that the leftists liked to run a lot in the 00s in which they’d discuss instances of straight people becoming gay after suffering head trauma. If someone could become gay from a head injury or head trauma the reverse should also be possible, right?
