Look at the SAVE Act, this should be slam dunk legislation for a GOP majority House and Senate. It passed the House fine, then got entirely bogged down because passing it would damage the uniparty. Thune keeps saying "We can do reconciliation for it" but it's a lie, the only two real options are ending the zombie filibuster or nuking the filibuster entirely and even in the event it COULD be passed via reconciliation, Thune would let the senate Parliamentarian neuter it, like he did for several items in Trump's Big Beautiful Bill.
