Its a new war. Enjoy the shitty aftermath.
It's an old war, but that's hard for some people to understand.
To give a quick, dirty, and ugly rundown...
Iran opened up with taking our people hostage. Brutally murdering the embassy station chief on live TV.
They constantly threatened shipping, but were limited by shitty Soviet technology. (The USSR was actually smart enough to not sell them anything that might let them fuck up the balance of power too hard)
They had direct monetary or direct involvement in blowing up planes, killing civilians, arming terrorists, blowing up nightclubs.
In the 2000's they sent in mines (Not IEDs, IEDs are improvised. These were professionally manufactured mines) and mortar rounds and RPGs.
This was all 'fine' in the war. Sure, some US troops got killed, but in the big scheme of things, when it comes to the global economy and global shipping, nobody cares about a couple hundreds US lives.
The US government had left them alone, largely because our allies pointed out even in the 80's that Iran could fuck up shipping in the time it took to lock them down.
So it was basically a stalemate.
Iran acts like an asshole, kills a handful of American citizens and troops a year, everyone gets their oil.
The blood for oil has been since the 1970's, and it's been American blood.
But still, it was All Quiet on the Retard Front.
But then something new happened.
Yes, the nukes were part of it, but a few things happened.
Trump, who wasn't fine with sacrificing Americans for the global economy. (Foids of London accounts for like 4-6% of Britanistan's GDP)
China took over for the USSR arming everyone. Unlike the USSR, China didn't give a fuck if someone had money. This meant people like Iran thought they were getting state of the art. (Chinese stealth plane detector, explodes when stealth planes are near, only works once, no refunds)
Drones became cheaper, capable of carrying larger payloads, had longer range, better control
The Democrats and their suckerfish just declared themselves anti-American faggots who would do and support anything that wasn't the US. More than usual, this was mental illness level.
Their nuke program had reached the point of either way. They had the refined uranium now (depending on which journalistic rag you read, which means they either had it or didn't, no in between almost shit)
The methods, construction type, and even how it was built is out there for a nuclear artillery shell that could be ramped up to 250kt. A regular 8" artillery shell.
An artillery shell within the weight limit for a beefy little drone.
Now, Iran had built a 'drone carrier', as well as several container ships that act as drone fleet launch and control platforms (a reason why Iranian container ships are being stopped and boarded or just fucking sunk)
Then, of course, were the ultimatums from Trump.
Now, here's the problem. Trump isn't a politician.
He told Iran: Don't kill those protestors.
IRan went LALALALALALLA HAHAHAHHAH! 80K dead! LOL
Every other US president's "red line" didn't matter. Nothing happened.
Then, he started bombing.
This isn't "TRUMP STARTED A WAR!!!!"
No, Trump is reacting to a change in the status quo of a 50 year old war.
