There is one scenario where I see this lasting a couple of months.

In a couple of weeks Iran won't be able to launch anything that can't be easily intercepted, if at all. In other words, they won't be a threat anymore. Not on land. Not on sea. Not in the skies.

As I read more and more, it's starting to feel like all doomers are cut from the same cloth. There's something almost universal to the way they talk, it's like a bottomless pit of insecurity and self-loathing that gets masked by smugness and pretentiousness.

None of them want to wait a few days to see how anything plays out. Patience would get in the way of their own self-flagelation to cry and moan that it's perpetually over at the mildest of inconvenience or roadbump. It's pride that tells a person they're right without much forethought, that they have the truth even without considering any other interpretations of events unfolding.

I know I'm retarded, fortunately I understand enough to see that there's a lot of intelligent people making the calls for the country. I can trust the plan, even without knowing it, and there's a bit of happiness and hope in that.

The cost of the i phone is far more than the chink who puts screws in it at the end of the process. It's the chips, screens, IP, freighters, truck drivers, guy who works at the apple store, and so on. THe vast majority of the cost of the phone is already in the US and won't change, the value china adds per phone is around $40 so thats the part that will be increasing. The price may go up $100 or so at the most.
