to the japanese, french are jeanne d'arc: a blond white girl with huge titties
It's more related to the post-WW2 period in Japan, where the citizenry were poor/had to work like dogs to rebuild their country/economy. Unsurprisingly escapism was quite the thing then; both US and French cinema were extremely popular. I think it mostly springs from that, but big-titted blonds work too.
The US were looking for a way to insert themselves into Vietnam anyway.
The US government, not the US populace - anything associated with Vietnam in the 60's was poison in the US.
I think if anything spoiled goodwill between the US and France it was the Suez Crisis.
Certainly that was rather a large bump in the road, lol. The French had to be reminded of their proper place in the American Century.

Is there any sane opposition from the left against Trump at this point?
People just hate him for existing than anything wrong with his policies themselves.

it's such a shame TDS retards have completely obliterated the credibility of any criticism about the guy because such credible criticism does exist if you look around and can be quite damning

I know why we the British hate them but I can't fathom why Americans would. Maybe it's because they wouldn't go along with the Iraq nonsense.
They told Bush there were no weapons of mass destruction, and Bush threw a tantrum and declared war against french fries to own those stupid frogs for not supporting his forever war. At least that is my understanding.

I've heard from many people that Trump's actually very into music.
After the Kennedy (and Trump) Center is finished being renovated, he's going to have Slayer come and blow the place out.

They told Bush there were no weapons of mass destruction, and Bush threw a tantrum and declared war against french fries to own those stupid frogs for not supporting his forever war. At least that is my understanding.
The real issue was that Iraq was exclusively trading for oil in Euros to spite the USA after Desert Storm, which was a massive benefit to Europe, but a direct attack on the petrodollar system. Other OPEC nations, seeing the success Saddam had were making noises like they would swap over as well. Europe, by going along, was essentially making a play to replace the USA as the head of the global financial system, despite all of the goodwill we'd granted them through things like the Bank of International Settlements and the WTO.

Anyway, Saddam needed to die and the EU needs to go as well. Nation-building shit is gay as fuck though. USA forever.

Not sure why he even needed an excuse when he could have just told them to give him France without any pretext, and they would have immediately capitulated.
