I was genuine, the optimistic react was because I'm glad and optimistic you won't use it or anyone you care about use it. Never let your kids near that awful thing, it's dangerous, good on you

Oh, got you. I tend to read the optimistic react as an eye rolling, sarcastic kind of thing. I have like, literally never taken it as a positive thing.

It's amazing how brazilian (and probably foreign media portrays shit):
  1. TRUMP IS FINISHED, THIS X DECISION FROM CONGRESS, SUPREME COURT, ETC ROLLS BACK HIS POLICIES
  2. Waves of experts, foreign and domestic salivating and speculation how this is a gigantic hit, how Brazil (insert the EU, NATO, whatever you are live in here) will benefit or how they defeated trump, etc
  3. Decision is either a nothing burguer or won't actually change shit for the better, trump won't be immediately impeached and or executed, for example in this case, he can still enact tariffs through other channels
  4. Media then buries all articles or news that challenge the assertion, in a week they change the news cycle to avoid the crowd from paying attention and starting to ask why isn't trump defeated or killed yet
It's also how i like this thread, there's a immediate IT'S OVER, ITS ALL OVER, WE'RE DOOOMED!!!11 and then some motherfucker actually bothers to read the fine print and explain this isn't the major defeat it was.
