This is what I get for typing as I catch up, beat me to it. Problem is, in a race war, the left would still side with the minorities. They'd defend it as "justified equalization of bloodshed" or some such shit. If anything, they'd ramp up the violence, providing additional numbers and cover in the early days as the minorities get worked up into a full mob. Even if they started killing the lefties who sided with them, they'd just blame it on the oppositional whites for "fighting back in such a way as to justify their violence", and would consider their own friendly fire dead to be justified. These people are delusional through and through, and want history to see them as martyrs for a greater cause, on the 'right side of history'.
