i think it's actually the right move in any case to make sure ethe current proceedings are finished before putting in a new charman of the fed, since that's how that works. i don't believe any of his 'allies' (imagine calling murkowski an ally, lmao) care about fucking him over in this case, it's mostly about following the exact, step-by-step procedure so that there's no accusations of incorrect procedural progression. rushing to do this would be wrong, but doing it in the right way could easily result in this going trump's way. i'm not going to pretend i understand what the DOJ is thinking with the charges, but i will trust the concept at least warily until i see it either produce a bad result directly, or if it succeeds i'll trust it even more.

Progressives know there's a shockingly low chance of any consequences when they chimp out for the invaders, which is why they keep doing it and publicly advocate for and plan these things under their real names. They are so bold, that multiple states and mayors openly protect and fund criminal invaders, and organize riots to protect them, while the feds do nothing about it. We will see if just one more federal bureaucrat will fix this, but I have my doubts as of now, given the pattern set by past inaction on this topic.
