1. Resources, Canada has the most lakes of any country on earth, that fresh water will be VITAL in coming years, the copious amount of fresh water and cold conditions is PERFECT for absurdly huge data centers. Computers operate on a pretty basic principle, the colder you can make them the faster they run, there is no diminishing returns or hard limit on this other than absolute zero. Canada is the second largest country in the world by size and so they gives us ALOT of real estate to get these huge fuck off data centers out of our motherfucking neighborhoods.
