That's absolutely pathetic. Is he really going to try and argue that not being on social media won't handicap his candidacy in the general election? You know who this REALLY makes me feel contempt for? The people running OH GOP who think this shit is acceptable.
I've been thinking about other states where your approach might yield results, like you mentioned how Virginia GOP just straight up got taken over by Democrats. California might be another, as strange as that sounds. They just gerrymandered even further (NB this
can backfire), but it's still a huge state with a bigger population of Republicans than any other; even if statewide races are out of reach (
for now), it should still be sending a good crop of GOP congressmen and women every 2 years. My understanding (source: I used to listen to Rich Baris) is that the GOP organization there has the same issues with corruption and incompetence as OH GOP and constantly throw races with retarded candidates or elect RINOS, and they absolutely throw their weight around to sabotage good candidates. There wouldn't be a flashy winnable governor's race to rally around, but as you note the real (fixable) issue isn't Vivek, it's the corrupt blob around him, and CA has that in spades; it just flies under the radar because it's a "lock" for Democrats, despite electing several blood-red Montanas-worth of GOP congressmen every year.
These scum-suckers love the redistricting btw; not because it creates an opportunity to make things backfire in Newsom's face, but because now they have more excuses to just not try, and the remaining R-lean seats are safer than ever, suitable to be distributed as sinecures to their butt buddies.
