The stance he took on maduro was baffling to me. he has a few stances i really don't agree with, that's fine, who cares. but the maduro stuff is just retarded on his part.

He based it off of Maduro being socially conservative, which honestly doesn’t matter when Maduro has been starving his own people, and actively working to destabilize the US. Those things automatically make him an enemy to the US no matter how “conservative” he is. Tucker really lacks the big picture on this issue.

I hate this false dichotomy for two reasons:

First, it's a recycled lefty talking point and I hate it when the "right" (be they Groypers or "principled" boomercons) recycle gay lefty talking points.

Second, it ignores the reality that the US government includes multiple differing branches of different jurisdiction and delegation.
People acting like we suddenly drafted every ICE officer and converted their transport vans into armored vehicles and deployed them to Iran or Venezuela while deportations suddenly dropped to zero.
Like holy fuck, the entire US government apparatus can accomplish multiple things at once.

The protests started because of their economy. Currently it's in the absolute shitter, suffering 42.2% inflation over the past year. In 2022 the exchange rate was 430k rial : 1 USD. It is now 1.42mil rial : 1 USD. Food has also increased in price by 70%. Source
Over the past 8 days the protests have spread across the entire country (map above) and things have not gotten any better, if it wasn't obvious. It's completely possible that another Nepal happens here.
