Out of all four Newsom is the only marketable one. Kamala had her time but failed so miserably that even Reddit deems that she had no chance and that they wouldn't vote for her, mainly due to the "revelation" that most Democrats are billionaire backed.
AOC on her own isn't strong enough, which is why she's joining Bernie. VP could be either one of them but Bernie is obviously the stronger presidential candidate, and his best shot in 2016 fell flat.
Newsom has the best appeal out of them all. For most people I think they'll believe he is a competent leader due to his handling of the drought and standing up against Trump in an apparent political feud that only Newsom seems to be perpetuating now. He's also a guy, so that's an easy +15% on polling.

I'm still betting on a dark horse, though a lot of potentials like Kelly have nuked themselves. They really might end up trying to go with Shapiro and Newsom in the end, which unless Vance just blows it will be a disaster for them no matter how 2026 goes.

You know he got some donations from harvey weinstein, the same harvey that fucked his wife.. didn't even return the money until nearly a decade later.

He fucked his campaign manager's wife, blamed it on the wife iirc.

corrupt as all hell, had at least 3 scandals as the mayor of san francisco.

that's jsut top three, lol. he won't win a single state in a primary.

Welp I've heard enough to convince me that Newsom has to run now. If he doesn't he's denying the rest of the world's basic human right to laugh at a dumbass failing spectacularly.

There's a slim chance they won't fail in 2026 but let me break down exactly why I think they're going to fail in 2028: because this entire fucking time every single one of them has been running against TRUMP, not VANCE.
All of them look at Vance and see that he is the anti-Trump in every measurable metric. He is well spoken, he is able to control his temper, he can debate someone and make them look stupid without insulting them at all, he is married to a minority and has been faithful to his wife for their entire marriage, he's young, he was military, the list goes on and on.
JD Vance is a once in a generation politician and every single one of these loony left idiots are desperately trying to make it all about Trump because they know the second they make it about JD, it's over.
Just on his background alone he has the white trash AND minority vote locked in. He will keep the MAGA vote because they will stay loyal to him, but he will be able to bring in even more independents and maybe even flip some dems.
Gavin is desperately trying to become the left-wing version of Trump for the same reason that all of them have been basically campaigning against Trump instead of Vance: because when it comes to integrity, and honesty and faith and being able to be a good person... none of them can hold a candle to Vance.
So the plan right now is to aim all of their cannons at Trump and just hope that Vance somehow goes down with that ship, but in my opinion I think they are sorely mistaken. That being said it's the only strategy they have to combat Vance.

It cannot be said enough how good JD Vance is at this. I know a lot of people have issues with his brown wife, but compared to the alternative this seems silly to me. Hell, after what we've seen from Vance, i'm not the least bit concerned about it. Miller being a part of his team would alleviate any concern I had.

vance is jsut so good.

I hope Gavin Newsom runs in 2028 but more importantly I want a dumpster fire of a campaign like Hillary, Biden, or Kamala's. The best elections are always the shit shows for me.
