The election result in that state was contested in court at the time. If the courts had ruled the vote results invalid, then it would have been up to the state legislature to select the electors, hence an alternate slate of electors was needed, as in legally required, to be in place awaiting the results of the ruling. The same shit happened during the JFK v Kennedy 1960 election. You are a dupe.

Trump's mistake was playing the same game that Democrats play: squeezing the court system.

It's not that effective when the most of court apparatus is captured by the Democrats.
