It's so strange how cigarettes stink worse than cigars.
My grandpa smoked Cigars. I have one of the boxes. From what I know, they are genuine luxury items. You are supposed to savor a cigar. They put a lot more effort into making them. Cigarettes are disposable and cheap, and all that implies.

Well, the boxes smell nice because they're usually made of Spanish cedar. As for cigars themselves, premium brands (i.e. not gas station cigars) use higher quality tobacco in their construction and there are far fewer chemicals involved in the production.
That’s true. Cigars often have a bit of a sweet odour. But they’ll turn your teeth yellow just like cigarettes.
Yup, tobacco products are bad for your oral health no matter what.
Seeds and stems smell like shit when they burn. Regarding cigars, you’re paying enough for them to remove the chaff
Unless you're buying cheap, shitty cigars like Swisher Sweets.

Just like Wilson's actual brain after he had that stroke, which also gave the country a preview of what it would be like to be run by a female Democratic president (spoiler: it'd be horrible)
Every day I thank the Lord for giving us Iron Ceiling Don and enforcing the boys only club of being president

Swishers are cigars the way that your elementary school lunch chicken patty is chicken

Only decent smelling smoke, imo, is cherry pipe tobacco. Cigars next, then everything after is nasty. I'm always amazed how the lingering body smoke from cigs smells way worse than the things themselves do.

Well that makes sense. It's why there's still such a premium on things like Cuban cigars. Even with the embargo, they still run a high price due to the quality.

To be honest, those chicken patties were more legit than Swishers.

Pipe tobacco is the best way to smoke. It's dirt cheap (even for top shelf tobacco), tastes great, you only need two pipes to really start the hobby (rotate your pipes so they don't get damaged), and you don't inhale so it doesn't trash your lungs.
This is a Macanudo thread and dissenters will be sent to the galera.
You wouldn't say that if you tried some CLE or JRE Tobacco cigars. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with anything from the Eiroa family.

Pipes are a bitch to learn to keep lit, and even if it smells nice, everyone is going to assume you’re some hipster stoner

If you have any friends or associates who smoke weed, they will also ruin your pipe because potheads don’t understand boundaries

There's nothing quite as relaxing as puffing on a pipe under an awning during the rain while sipping on some okayish whisky.

Well, there’s cigars and whiskey, and you can put your matches/lighter away for a whole minute at a time

I’ll add that this was my experience, back when I had a hipster pipe and went to Hudson News for tobacco

For coding Claude Sonnet is really good for bug fixing.
Deepseek if good for writing.
I haven't used the big boy Sonnet model but a friend of mine did on a refractor and it went really well.
GPT and Grok party tricks are big context and big data in the model, but they can get outperformed by the other models at other tasks. Saying one is better than an other is almost like saying a programing language is better than another.
None of them is very good when they don't have the domain knowledge to do the task (pretty much always). Think of it like onboarding a new hire who is good at coding but knows nothing about the business.

On the other hand, I find they're more useful for suggesting ways of transforming or analyzing data or algorithms that achieve a particular goal. You have to spend a long time explaining what you're after, though, and you have to know what would and wouldn't work. That's not code generation.

The other thing they're useful for is very specific one-liners when you want to know a few ways to achieve one simple thing. You can skip digging through stackexchange results and get code that already applies to your specific case without any adaptations.

Eh, it's not that hard to keep the pipe lit. It takes a little practice but you can figure it out. As for weed smokers, just keep your wooden pipe away from them. Most weed smokers know that you're not supposed to smoke out of a wooden pipe. They use glass because it can tolerate higher heat.

You do look like a hipster fag with a pipe, but it's worth it for the enjoyable experience.

I quit drinking, but there really is nothing like a nice pipe or cigar on the porch after a long day.
