Gold. I can grow bread. You can't grow gold.
what are you eating while the wheat, (cant grow bread sweaty) grows?

You know when the pilgrims came over their liqor stocks were worth more than their flagship cause they knew the turn around for a crop to produce liqour would be 1 year and a half minimun cause they had to grow it

I line that will FOREVER haunt my memory is reading about this and the 1st hand account of the providential governor retelling how when they first got there a shit load of men got sick to the point of an agonizing death and the guy was begging the crew of the ship to give them a little liquor from their return stock (they have to sail home) to ease the dying mans pain, the guy responded.

"If you were my own father I would not spit in your cup"

in front of a dying man and a begging local leader, shit get real when your next meal or drink isent guaranteed, gold just becomes a piss colored rock.

Sorry for vagueposting but I need your guys’s advice. Suppose you have a major opportunity coming up relatively shortly in which you can network with certain people in the admin. The opportunity isn’t necessarily policy-focused, but it’s the only one you’ll get. What arguments would you present to try to convince them to curtail legal immigration (H1Bs, etc)?
I don't have an academic or politically savvy way of saying "We didn't have half the problems we did before Hart-Celler and outsourcing." We taught ourselves manufacturing et al. Prioritizing foreigners instead of Americans ensures that not only will we forget a lot of these things for good, with no one learning from senior workers, whatever competitive disadvantages we have will only continue to grow regardless of whether or not they "teach" us. It's said that we've forgotten some basic things from the Space Age, like how certain parts are made. We can't "learn" them from China or India.

Happy 100 to go.

The sad part about the state I live in now is they're not doing anything funny. I have to rely on friends in Oregon and Washington to relay me the funny stuff like trannies in government and objections to ICE facilities in rural towns.

On the other hand, maybe I should just be glad there seem to be fewer retards in government here.

Squirrels, berries, people
unless you know your dick from your hand all 3 of those will poison the fuck out of you if done even slightly wrong, most squirrels have ticks that will give you paralysis if you field dress the game wrong and shoot a bunch of blood toxins into the meat.

Im an outdoor fag and most berries I wont touch out of abundance of caution and people... buddy ill let you figure that one out yourself

It's not that we've forgotten how to make the parts its that many if not most of the original designs and drawings have been lost. No complete sets of any plans exist for the Gemini/Apollo stuff so you'd have to redesign it all from scratch and if you're starting over it doesn't make sense to use 60-year old technology. We are here.

There's an em dash in that post and it is used peculiar. Whoever wrote this wrote it in word, hit a double-hyphen -- then pressed space, copy+pasting it over. AI doesn't em dash like that--it does it like this.
I use em dashes (with no spaces, of course), because as an old inky wretch, I was taught to use them when necessary.

Double hyphens are gay.

they are resentful faggots that Britain should have turned into compost and replaced with irish people
Don't just import Irish people, bring some proto-Australians in too. I'd much prefer having the Indo-Irish and the Indo-Australians pointing nukes at each other than the current mess.

(Indo in the geographic sense)

I was thinking more about parts. Knowing how to make obsolete technology doesn't sound good on paper, but considering how prevalent planned obsolescence is now, it becomes harder and harder to compete on quality. While putting out cheap crap makes line go up, that's part of the problem. The same one that involves companies outsourcing and relying on cheap foreigners/illegals.

You could use L-1s to bring foreign trainers over here to teach Americans, without the fear of permanent residency. You could also just send the Americans to Taiwan or wherever to get training. But you DEFINITELY don’t need H-1Bs.

Jokes aside I highly recommend everyone to get a local guide to walk you through edible vegetation native to the area. It could genuinely save your life. Also buy a copy of Les Stroud's "Wild Harvest".

Also watch Survivorman. Also go fucking camping. It's cheap and teaches valuable skills.

I was just thinking. I read a short story years ago "The Nine Billion Names Of God" where a computer was installed in a monastery to print all the possible names of God. Once it was done, the guys who installed the computer noticed "overhead, without any fuss, the stars were going out."

Is that what happens when this thread hits 10,000? Every possible retarded take has been posted and it suddenly poofs out of existence?

Shows like Alone and Dual Survival are great. Alone has expanded to climates that aren't subarctic, but techniques like the grouse stick are great even if you're not up there.

ngl it's funny how a quick quip has people pissing themselves with fear.

Imagine life as a JQtard in Ancient Rome:

1. Military support for Judea against Seleucids and funding Temple maintenance; “why are my tax denarii sponsoring Middle-Eastern forever wars — why is Rome a vassal to Judea.”

2. Caesar and Augustus allowing Jews protection to worship as they chose; “why is this special group above Roman law.”

3. Synagogues classified as colleges to get around secret society bans; “why aren’t we Romans allowed to advocate for our own interests like they are!”
Ironically I'd probably consider the Greeks to be the 'Jews' of the ancient Romans. The Romans take over their old empires and now they're suddenly funneling vast amounts of blood and treasure to the East to fight the Greeks' old enemies while all of their elites are now culturally captured by the Greeks. The actual Israelites would ironically be more like the Muslims in that they're a bunch of desert dwelling cultists that are way more trouble than they're worth. You even had conservative Romans considering 'Greco-Roman' culture to be a degenerate joke and warning that it would lead to decadence and collapse.
