I can believe it with places like Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Looking into it, "fewer than a quarter" of Muslims leave Islam. Problem is, this is the same article that states that Americans and Kenyans the highest conversion rate. Most American converts were raised Christian. By my standard, Japanese people are the world's second free-est (most individually strange) next to Scandinavians. Their resistance to Christianity is because it seems totally foreign and irrational to them. Buddhism, e.g., is extra-rational, so they can incorporate it into their regular thinking. Christianity is just fucked up Jew nonsense.

However, when I lived in Japan, and I lived among the most "free" (perverse, our host would say) among them, an unusually high percentage of my friends there were Catholics. My impression was that it was an eccentricity of the very rich. Could be wrong.
