honestly i believe gavin is probably quietly happy this resulted in no major chimpouts, because his state would've been hit very hard by them, but even his attempts to seem upset about this are lackluster.

I'll call it, that guy won't be the nom. It's probably going to be some unknown or out of the blue like all the dem candidates have been forever. The only one that was a sure thing was Hillary as long as I can remember, all the rest on their side (and frankly mostly on GOP side too) have been someone that nobody guessed more than a year before the election.

lets see
Pelosi's fucking off from the trash fire she started
Harris has pretty much been outed as retard that nobody smart will defend
Newsome is failing badly at emulating trump
And this whole shutdown has pretty much made Schumer an embarrassment
Who's left to lead the democratic party now? their pretty much leaderless while Vance has got pretty much 3 more years to build up his powerbase

Pritzker, but he's a fatfuck charisma vacuum
Shapiro was buried for being a Jew
Hawaii Governor Joshua Green could be a backdoor candidate, but he'd also get buried for being a Jew, his laughable response to the Lahaina fires, the "Green tax" was passed with no fucking explanation of how the money will be spent, and his "emergency proclamation on homelessness" was just wasting more money.

There is word that Hawaii Senator Brian Schatz may possibly be the next in line to succeed Schumer.

The picture with Schumer walking away with a plate of spam musubis is very telling indeed:

Just realized something, there's a bunch of igbo that claim they're the lost tribe of Gad. What're the odds that the Africans who claim to be a lost tribe also invent banking?
Funny enough, Kissinger also outright described the Igbo as the 'Jews of West Africa' in a report to Nixon (who himself was personally pro-Biafra, but couldn't do anything about it because his hands were tied by a million other factors by the time he got into the White House).

if the republicans were even half as competent as these redditoids think they are, we would be living in an ACTUAL dictatorship instead of the fumble of democracy that we see today. these people are so disconnected from reality it's kind of sad, until i remember they're choosing to do this.

it's optimistic, i know, but maybe this has weakened dem support for the midterms.

"I'm so angry I can't even think." you were never thinking to begin with, buddy.

a final redditor shares with us an interesting theory. could they be correct?

I think it had to do with remaining open days in the year. The holidays are coming up so the Congress would normally shut down for it and if they did with everything still shut down it would be a disaster for the country. We already had 2,200 flights canceled just today alone. Imagine going into Thanksgiving/Christmas with 10% less flights at the busiest airports nationwide. No food assistance for the needy. No money for federal workers or military. No chance to open anything until next year.
this is my guess too. at the end of the day even senators need airports to function and i cant imagine they would want to risk having people screaming at them during the holidays getting in the way of their vacations. plus like i have mentioned before SNAP is not the only government program shut down currently another program HEAP is also shut down HEAP is very very important for the low income elderly especially in the winter as it helps them pay for heating and or electricity. im sure the AARP and any other lobby that caters to the elderly has been screaming at the dems.

Indeed. I hardly believe it myself. I was convinced the GOP was going to have to either cuck or nuke the filibuster to get things open. Thune has proven himself with this imo.
Holy shit. They actually won this game of political chicken. Blackpillers on suicide watch until 2026.

We'll see how the legacy media and reddit spin this though. And how it reflects in the polls.
