Tom Suozzi's a lifelong Democrat, I don't trust the bastard as far as I can throw him, but I still inexplicably get emails from "his" office talking about how he'll show up at these series of local libraries between Queens and Nassau County over X amount of time to specifically talk to constituents for about an hour or so. It ain't much, but it's way fucking more than Lee Zeldin or even Curtis Sliwa were willing to do for the positions they were running for. Even the geriatric vote over here trends toward the D side because the Rs all universally moved down south once they hit retirement age and cashed out the family house.

You gravely underestimate just how many people fucking hate Cuomo here in NYS. As to forfeiting the children to the left? People like @Myrtle the Turtle and Louis Rossmann said it best: you live through an affordability crisis that's existed for half or more of your life, incumbent leadership is milquetoast and ineffective, the youth vote that now outnumbers to gerontocracy will pivot to far more radical voices that, even if they know won't live up to the campaign promises, still shakes up the dysfunctional status quo. It remains one of the great challenges of the 2020s to see how the GOP will reinvigorate itself before the 2026 midterm elections, but to that end? Nihilism never got anyone anywhere except a mental breakdown after watching someone mistreat a horse.

What is the going rate for a professional USPG2 alog? It is a niche skill, but he is good at his job, still not HHH levels where he got half the regulars temp banned, still leagues better than some others I have seen.

Hell, Serena's entire arc is based on the writer imagining anti- feminist activist Phyllis Schafly in an ironic hell of being forced to live by her own belief system. And in the show, she promptly gets a finger cut off when she tries to publicly rebuke the "no reading" policies of Gilead. And the Marthas are basically unmarried/widowed/barren women turned into chattel slaves for the elite, with one of the main Marthas in the book being stated as having been forced to work while suffering pneumonia and having to hide it because she was afraid of what would happen to her if she got found out, since Marthas don't get sick days.

Ironically like in 1984, it's the female prols, IE the econo-wives that have it the least worst but even then they are under constant surveillance and can be straight up murdered or turned into Handmaids if they get out of line

The point isn't that they're all oppressed, it's that they are not equally oppressed. In Islam, a man can have multiple wives. If a man with two wives wants to buy a watermelon for his family, he buys two watermelons and cuts both of them in half, giving half of each to each wife so that neither can say that they got the better watermelon. That's how committed to the bit Muslims are.

This article really does illustrate how retarded a lot of Republicans are on messaging. They admit that young Americans have every right to be mad at a system that's been telling them for decades to just work harder, sacrifice more, and be a little more patient and you'll finally get what you've been working for, yet never provides.

So what's the solution they propose? Why, just be patient and appreciate that freedom is a privilege, not an entitlement! The issue at hand is that Americans are entitled stuff, and never getting it. A smart (or rather, a good-faith) writer would argue that Americans are entitled to rule of law, to not being replaced by immigrants, to having jobs for those who actually contribute to society.


But no, just gotta suck it up and be grateful. Young people aren't gonna do that. If they're not gonna get entitlements from a non-exploited market, they're gonna seek entitlements from socialist gibs. And the article does acknowledge the fact that socialism can lead to government dependence and loss of freedom, but I guess those things are more preferable to the author than removing illegals from the country.
