Putting aside Civil War sperging- Does anyone have opinions on the governor/state-level elections happening today in VA and NJ?
Only a small anecdote. A friend was at a local government building to get a permit for something, and he had to wait for the clerk to deal with three shitlib middle aged women who were very confused. They were trying to vote.

This was in Illinois. Illinois does not have elections, today.

I'll just let you all chew on the implications of this anecdote yourselves. Me? I'm going to get inebriated.

This was always the plan. Depending on the results of the election, the Democrats were going to either crashout and cave in to Republicans or they were going to ride the high of victory and use it as leverage. They never had leverage to begin with, so they're placing all their eggs into this one basket hoping it works out.

time travel

In all seriousness though, haven't there been a lot of bomb threats today? What are the odds one of them was legit?
Police found one of them called in New Jersey was by a minor. Not sure if there’s any other updates suspect wise, but given they all reopened I think it’s safe to say they were all fake.
New York too apparently. Both Republican and Democratic NJ county polls got bomb threats, but they were deemed non credible. Ghostarchive decided to not work today, but archive.is did.

Virginia polls closed and are posting results now.

Bill legalizing physician-assisted suicide heads to Pritzker's desk

SPRINGFIELD – A bill has passed both Illinois chambers that would allow doctors to prescribe aid-in-dying medication to people who have a terminal disease.

State Sen. Laura Ellman, D-Naperville, introduced the bill in February, and it passed the Senate on Oct. 31, meaning it now goes to Gov. JB Pritzker's desk for decision.

Here’s what to know.

What would the bill do, if signed into law?

If signed into law, the End-of-Life Options for Terminally Ill Patients Act, also known as Deb’s Law, would allow doctors to prescribe a lethal dose of medication that patients could self-administer at a time of their choosing.

The end-of-life option would be for terminally ill people who want to “retain their autonomy and some level of control over the progression of the disease as they near the end of life or to ease unnecessary pain and suffering.”

The bill specifies that the prescription would only be for adults with "the mental capacity to make medical decisions."

Why is it called Deb’s law?

The bill cites a story about Deb Robertson, “a lifelong Illinois resident who has been living with a rare form of terminal illness, who wants to live but knows that she is going to die.”

Robertson has publicly advocated to change Illinois’ law because she wants to be able to die peacefully at home.

How is terminal disease defined?

According to the bill, terminal disease means "an incurable and irreversible disease that will, within reasonable medical judgment, result in death within six months."

A patient's physician would determine the existence of the terminal disease, and another physician would concur it in writing in the patient's medical record.

Where else is this legal?

Such procedures are legal in 10 states and the District of Columbia. A similar bill awaits decision in New York by Gov. Kathy Hochul.

Springfield Bishop pushes back on bill

Springfield Bishop Thomas Paprocki made a statement about the legislation, saying that "physician assisted suicide undermines the value of each person, especially the vulnerable, the poor, and those with disabilities. Pray for Gov. Pritzker to reject this legislation. Illinois should be a state that offers compassion, care, and hope—not death—as the answer to human suffering."

I'm involved with my local government, and the amount of people I've met that think election day happens once every 4 years instead of every year shocks me.

Anything over 200 dollars cross3s into felony territory. The guy is on the hook for 3 to 5 years for the theft and maybe more for trying to fight me.

I'll be fine. Occasionally I get sued over this sort of thing, but I don't get arrested.
Based lost prevention officer. Some companies fire their employees for that.

Trump Enslavement Cucks cope of choice is usual “Voters are a bunch of retards lashing out that Trump hasn’t lowered the cost of living yet!” à la 2018.

There must be something in the water in Illinois......Ethan Ralph and the Slaton Sisters are from there too.

Jokes aside, I'm Yankee by birth, grew up in Dixie, and have family who fought on both sides. I don't have any real animosity towards the North of the 1860s, I just think the South was legally right and that America turning into the dumpster fire it is today can be directly traced back to the North imposing the will of the Federal gov't over the South.
We’d have a lot less problems if the south picked its own cotton.

It's because Illinois is a nigger state. People like to pretend it's just Cook county but Galena to New Liberty is all nigger. Born there? Nigger. Lived there? Nigger. If you're ever driving through make sure to carry a filled out job application or your W2 on you at all times or you might start to turn. It's not a coincidence that the worst parts of the surrounding states all share a border with Illinois.

I mean, you just know they were just going to go straight blue without any second thought or even interest in who was supposed to be running in this particular imaginary election!
I'm just summarizing a few texts my buddy sent me. I didn't see it. But in my head, it went like this:

Shitlib: "Hi! Where are the voting booths! We're here to save OUR DEMOCRACY FROM FASCISM IN A FIRM BLUE STATE! Just where our vote counts the most!" <epic FASCISM DEFEATING GROUP SELFIE>

Clerk: "Ma'am, you're in the wrong building. Oh, also, there are no elections today in Illinois."
Shitlib: "Excuse me?"

Clerk: "Illinois isn't having elections today, ma'am. Some other states are, but not us."
Shitlib: "Oh. Okay, thanks..." <sadface as they delete selfies and several recent social media posts about SAVING DEMOCRACY, and of course, lets not forget the ever-so-valuable and soon-to-be acquired "I Voted!" stickers to signal their civic virtue with>

Shitlibs among themselves as they dejectedly walk to their cars: "Let us never speak of this day again."
