Y'know, just the fact that the federal government has positioned actual fucking snipers on the rooftops of surrounding buildings (presumably without consulting local authorities first, because lol "fuck you Governor") should be a signal to the average protester that things are getting too hot to go play.
It's one thing to have armed cops around (not too impressive to the average libtard), or even a full group of well-equipped federal agents loaded up for a fight. It's an entirely different deal for there to be highly-trained, heavily armed snipers on the rooftops actively monitoring everyone's activities. That goes from "playful larp with a moderate risk of pellet balls to the nuts or an uncomfortable arrest" to "hoping they get that nifty chest sucker bandage slapped on fast enough to save you when you eat one on center-of-mass."
This is ripe for another Rittenhouse incident. I still have the sense that just one death will probably take the wind out of the liberals' sails if it's an obviously clean shoot.
"The Union" isn't playing around anymore. The entire left wing apparatus of political power has been exposed for the sedition it always was.
There has always been a romanticizing of the Confederate cause in the civil war. The lost cause. The inevitable defeat. But very little attention has ever been made towards the Union cause. Why exactly did hundreds of thousands Americans put their lives on the line for the Federal Government.
It actually sounds absurd in the modern era. Hundreds of thousands of Americans put their lives on the line for the Federal Government and Tens of Thousands of them died for it. Fighting other Americans. Why? It wasn't "too end slavery". Union soldiers very publicly didnt really give a shit about the Africans unless it was too make their enemies seem sub human.
My theory is that the Federal Government at its core is a representation of the aspiration for the title "American" too be more then just a social construct that anyone can subscribe too. It is after all why it was created in the first place. Too not be Virginia, New York or South Carolina. But too be America.
And now there is a President who asserts that the American People are a real thing that exist, and that it is not some sort of shared inheritance anyone in the world can claim. I wonder if Trump even truly appreciated what he was doing, or if he just Mister Magooed his way into it as he seems too do.
Trumps demand of Americanism in the face of rebellious local officials seeking to deny the patrimony of the American Nation is LITERALLY the Union Cause of the civil war. Tens of Thousands of Americans died for the feds in the 1860s because they believed Virginia, Georgia, South Carolina etc had no right to take away that which belonged too a unified nation and recreate the discord of Europe in North America.
That was the Federal Cause, and by accident or machiavellian plan Trump has managed too tap hard into it.
