I have to catch up on Bible study, but I never understood the totality of forgiveness when your enemies clear as day would not reciprocate the same onto you.
Generally: you're supposed to forgive their soul, you don't have to forgive their flesh. AKA: if you must imprison or execute them, or certainly kill them in a moment of self defense, that's one thing. But make sure you're doing it as a means to an end, a pragmatic solution to a concrete problem. You need to let go of the hatred you have for their very being. Because that will just eat you without solving any real problem.

Overall the bible implies that human beings are "souls temporarily inhabiting bodies" and that most of the bad stuff you do is because your body is freaking out like a malfunctioning gundam suit, and you need not blame the pilot for this, even if you have to destroy said gundam suit. He's just a guy who ended up in a situation, just like you. The teachings of the bible are largely a way to give your soul better control over your body.

It's like acknowledging, in a deterministic sense: "In another life I may have been you. Somebody i care about may end up like you. As such, I will respect the parts of you that I empathize with to the best of my ability".

In any case, it is in no way shape or form the "please come fuck me in the ass!!!" that leftists try to imply it is. The bible explicitly states "there is a time for peace and a time for war".

Trump and Musk spoke for a brief moment before Trump appeared to motion him away.

Lip reader Nicola Hickling revealed Trump said 'how are you doing' as he turned to Musk to greet him.

Musk then appeared to shrug as Trump says: 'So Elon, I've heard you wanted to chat.'

With UFC icon Dana White joining the conversation, Trump suggested, 'Let’s try and work out how to get back on track.'

Musk responds by nodding his head. The president then hugs his hand and says: 'I've missed you'.

It is perfectly Biblical to say "I hold no hatred in my heart for this man and i pray for his repentance, but his deeds are Evil and an affront to God's law and thus in accordance to His divine justice should be put to death."
Correct.
Forgiveness is NOT forgetting, reconciling, or trusting again, it is simply choosing to no longer hold a grudge.
Its also worth pointing out (and many Christians forget this) that while we may be able to forgive, there are certain things for which we cannot show grace, not only because of how heinous they are, but because the authority to do so goes over our heads. I can forgive somone who has wronged me, but (and this is typically the law of the land that makes the distinction) I cannot show him grace, as he has violated God's law, expressed as the law of the land, and therefore whether punishment is doled out is not something I posses the authority to decide. This is doubly important because in Romans, Paul specifically says that (paraphrasing) the agents of the state are God's agents used to punish wickedness, so the state has liscense to distribute God's punishments for the wicked as well.
It is perfectly Biblical to desire both Robinsons salvation,  and his death.

The idea behind forgiveness is that we have this concept that when we are wronged or believe we're wronged, a moral debt is incurred and the perpetrators owe us moral reparations. Now, what if the person hates me or doesn't even know me? Well, this is a moral debt that will never ever be repaid.
Over time, you end up with a mile long list of moral debts you are tracking—incurred by strangers who don't even know you, politicians, anonymous social media posters, unrepentant criminals. You let the people you hate live rent-free in your head using a debt they never intend to repay.
So why keep track of it?
By forgiving them, you say that you'll forgive that moral debt and stop keeping track of it, instead entrusting the judgment of Christ, and freeing yourself to look towards the future rather than dwell on the worst parts of the past.

If she truly forgives the assassin, Erika prevents him from consuming her life and is able to stop the destruction of grief.
True facts. To forgive is to lay down a burden of anger and resentment. You know the expression about nursing wrath to keep it warm.

Laying down that burden, no longer sipping from that cup of gall is a relief. Holding anger inside makes us bitter, given time it poisons us. I don't believe anyone enjoys feeling embittered, although they trick themselves into thinking they do. It's a kind of slow burning self torture.

Blink, and you'll be 70, and who wants to be haunted by the past at that age? Who wants to be on their death bed still ached by the worst moments of their life?

So, forgive, if that's necessary and possible. Not for the sake of whoever hurt you, but for your sake.

Today, America rallied to console Erika Kirk and remember Charlie. But there's another two of victims of Tyler Robinson everyone forgets about: his Mom and Dad. Can you imagine how Tony Robinson feels about having to turn in his own son? How Debbie feels about her beautiful baby boy now a murderer, facing death row? And for them, there is no consolation, there will be no closure, they're not even allowed to mourn. (:_(

Sure, but that itself implies the things we're in now are temporary vessels, and that something else is the true "us" ie: the soul.
Not really though. It's a perfection of the body. Christians believe in a bodily resurrection, stated explicitly, and focusing too much on the spirit only and the hereafter is specifically warned about in several of Paul's epistles.

Remember kids, while Charlie Kirk would debate all commies, 2B and Captain Planet would kill all commies. Put commies in prison to be raped. Roundhouse kick commies into a happy sentient woodchipper for being pedophiles. Stomp commie heads into the painted over remains of their dumb gay crosswalks. Eradicate commies from the face of the planet for the environment. Double eradicate commies from hell to save Satan the headache. And worst of all, call a commie a faggot.

The old body is not thrown away. It is restored. This is why Christians should never be cremated. You don’t want to end up in heaven with ashy skin.
That doesn't even make sense. The body would disintegrate or decompose around a year to a decade. At least with cremation, you wouldn't need to pay for a burial and you could spread ashes around if they'd so choose to for the afterlife.

God, you niggers are still talking about Kirk? No one actually cares about the death of a random conservative grifter, do they?
Just waiting for the day that the obese orange pedophile that's currently in office dies.
That's a day for celebration, Not this cringe "Charlie Kirk Day" BS.
Can we give this one his medal already?

I never know if you're doing a bit or not.
But, accepting the Christian idea that God, the one that created the universe and everything by speaking it into existence, resurrects the faithful at the end of everything... I don't think the state of the remains really matters to him. It's like the atheists who think "Do you really believe Jesus walked on water?" is a good gotcha.... I mean, the guy created the whole universe...most of the other miracles are pretty tame.

This is the first time I ever heard of a Christian prohibition for cremation
It's more of a custom that's a holdover from a peasant/lay belief rather than an actual teaching.
