I combine that with the fact that on joe rogan's podcast when talking about china trump said something along the lines of "i have an idea but if i tell you it will give it away". I wonder if he's trying to make everything so uncertain that the chinese system just doesn't know what to do and starts eating itself alive.
The Schizophrenia got you to the correct ballpark but the wrong field.
Trump has a propensity to do A/B testing for his base, as
@Rykel22 says so he goes and does a thing and acts like he's committal to it.
A/B testing is very good for getting you accurate feedback, but it does in fact require you to "act stupid" if you do the A/B testing thing and the people wanted B instead of doing A.
Being ultra-realistic... Louis XIV did this kind of thing and he got (in)famous for controlling his court by being unpredictable. Trump is generally not very committal, and I think this is deliberate. He basically responds to anything in a wordier form of, "We shall see," and he basically gets to A/B test while making sure no one knows what he's thinking so no one can really peg anything on him. It has its downsides, you have to look senile/schizophrenic/beholden to interests at times due to what superficially looks like flip-flopping, but it is a very valid and proven way to keep control over the court in general. Speaking of... if you read this Rykel, it's not a wild assumption at all to say Trump's keeping people off kilter.
He is not. He bombed Iran because of the Israeli voices whispering in his ear, but as soon as the base started to scream "NO NEW WARS", he forced Israel to abandon their regime change plans.
There's option 3. We look back to the Syria strikes in term 1 and remember that the Middle East does in fact conduct diplomacy through the deliberate sending of explosive ordinance. One strike and then nothing is actually legit diplomacy in that godforsaken stretch of desert, and it's why I was basically telling people to calm their tits over this totally being WWIII. Trump will use missiles and bombs to conduct diplomacy, and yes foreign policy in the Middle East is on upside-down-land drugs at the best of times. BOMBS OF PEACE AHOY!!!
