This is true. However, as the reserve currency of the world, we're able to do 2 things which make this slightly irrelevant.

1) Create artificial scarcity and bottlenecks of our currency. Basically, impoverishing other countries in a push pull game. This leaves them indebted to us.

2) Use #1 to power play control of their resources in a way where, the entire globe basically pays tribute to the US, sending us their... well, everything.

It's not a perfect arrangement. Not by any means. There is a lot wrong with it and you could even say unethical. However, our wealth as a country (contra interest) has been on the backs of this system and the rest of the world.

There are seriously a lot of people in the US who think wanting to mass deport Haitians is just blunt racism (i.e. "me no like brown ppl") from American whites without realizing that people from savage, primitive parts of the world take that with them where they go. There is no such thing as layers to a statement/nuance to the people I'm describing. When people say things like "Haitians eat live cats", they write it off as "racist white person spreading hate about poor abused minorities". But even with all of that, all video and audio evidence, people will look at you and try to shut you up with "muh wayciss".
