how they fucked that guy was one of the biggest black pills for me back in the day. In both instances they explicitly state
-There IS violence.
-The violence is bad.
-The people who commit the violence should be arrested.

It's just such a massive tonal shift from 5 years ago where basically everyone was saying the violence was a good thing. I imagine they're aware of some behind the scenes polling and know how fucked they are, they wouldn't be backpedaling like this otherwise.

I didn't mean to include that excerpt, because I wasn't sure about the entire thing. I think the actions that allowed it to thrive refer to how he was then for sure and still today the main/a main symbol of Anti-Communist sentiment and it all gets lumped together as McCarthyism.
