You know, watching some of these videos I am struck with how beautiful LA actually is. I've always imagined it as a concrete hellscape, but all those tree lined boulevards, and beautiful civic buildings, there was once an LA that was filled with people who really took pride in their city and viewed as theirs rather then an economic zone that belonged to everyone.

As much as I hate illegal immigration, people DO have a right to free speech and to protest - even if I totally disagree with their cause. There is a legally valid protest in there somewhere, underneath the rioting.
