Allowing Syria to rebuild, is a massive fuck you to Israel.
Specially a Islamic, Turkish aligned Syria.

It's even funnier when you consider that Israel will now have to choose between letting gaza be rebuilt by hundreds of billions of dollars in Arab oil money or let that cash be sent to their existential enemy for the past 70 years in the north to keep gaza destroyed and eek out any sort of victory.

Trump kneecapped Israel's foreign expansion plans into turning Syria into Lebanon 2.0 with a multitude of small minority states, like the Kurdish in the east or the Druze in the south or the alawites in the coast.

Their only hope now is to get Russia to stay in the coast, it's the only counter to full Turkish occupation of Syria.

Syria is being allowed to be a country again. They may even have a chance to buy western weapons to replace all the equipment that got blown up at the end by Isreal/the final battles. There is a future where Syria could be running M1 Abrams tanks, using M4 Carbines and Glocks instead of AKM's and Markarovs, and have a fleet of high tech western ships to replace their destroyed navy. It could be EXTREMELY lucrative for the US.

like Pat Buchanan once noted pissing away relations with the Arab World just to appease Israel and their agenda is absolutely retarded, Syria has great oil reserves and going to war with them would be complete non-sense, the age of the Neocon going to war in order to get some oil is fucking over

Oil prices could actually drop now that sanctions are off of them. Flood the market with fresh crude. Could be kino.

The Library is a good introduction to the man, but if you want a really deep dive reading his autobiography or watching/listening to the long-form interviews with Frank Gannon on YouTube really gives you insight into how remarkably intelligent and analytical he was.

He was one of the smartest President's ever, certainly the most intellectual and capable of the past 50 years.

His life spans such a significant period of America. His first memory is falling off a horse drawn wagon; he ended up President of a techocracy with color television as his medium of communication, in charge of a jet and nuclear military--most powerful in the history of the world, and sent men to the moon. That gave him a perspective few Presidents could or will ever have.

It never worked in the first place.
You need explicit imperialism to conduct a resource war with results that last. As in, "We are conquering this shithole in the name of Imperator Bush and the prosperity and future of the Nation and People of the United States." not "We are bringing Democracy to the wholesome Iraqistanis to save us from their WMDs and maybe getting some oil too?"
We're at least 10-20 years of political turmoil away from being able to comfortably do this, if ever.
 
It's not quite the Drums of Liberation but Trump liking his welcome at the Abu Dhabi UAE airport, that is some strict terminal control to have Air Force One just dock like that instead of walking down:
