Geopolitically, America has been in Pakistan's corner for a few decades now because the Indians cozied up to the USSR after they got independence from the British. Said backing included selling Pakistan quite a few toys to use to counteract the Indians who were buying shit from the Russians.

The dynamic has changed a bit over the last few years, with Pakistan being somewhat more belligerent and India trying to lean on America to counterbalance their issues with the Chinese.

What is generally happening there is on the subs rather than the language
In cases like this usually the translation is not "Can I have some" but "Your esteemed lordship though it is not proper for me to ask you this may I have some" most localizers are hacks information is being removed not translated more efficiently.

Japanese is a high context language outside of formal speech the English translation is usually longer because in English, a low context language, it is common to explicitly state details that the listener will likely to have observed for themselves. In Japanese it is not, notably this is why machine translation for Japanese is generally poor.

Lol, India's so funny. They love Israel. They love Stalin. And they love Hitler! Well, at least they hate the British...

But we're lolcows too. We only ally with all the people Bin Laden had ties to, and then invade Afghanistan and Iraq. At this point I'm willing to believe we get involved in wars exclusively to drop ordinance on the evidence of various politicians' corruption.
 
I don't know how I'm going to cope with Canada no longer being our friend. I used to have a pile of fucks that I didn't give about Canada, but, after Trudeau Jr. waved his finger at us, the pile suddenly grew like crazy . It's taking over the house, all the fucks I can not give to Canada. Pray for me so that I'll live through the night.
