its the latin american country with the 4th largest population in the US and 2nd largest illegal population, and i think they're 5th largest in terms of illegal population overall.

Plus because of their size it will be easier to push them around and make deals vs mexico or china. Beyond all that most of their illegal population is highly concentrated in the DC area, meaning gangs like MS-13 are a lot more likely to be a real threat, like a US general's kid was beaten so bad it landed him in the hospital last year, and it was by MS-13 gang members, but because of a combo of the Biden admin not wanting it to make news and intel saying they're pretty sure it wasn't targeted they swept it under the rug. But that still leaves the fact that at minimum, high ranking parts of the government could very easily be killed or have their family killed by these gangs and nothing can really stop it from happening, what really would be stopping illegals from doing retaliatory attacks unless we start deporting them
