Almost anywhere in Texas is abysmal, even west Texas. The drivers are terrible, too. Very aggressive with their cars (whether that be not letting someone merge or forcing themselves into a merge). It has gotten significantly worse, no thanks to the crawl pace TxDOT works at. I think it’s a 60% illegal immigration (influx of shitty drivers that suicide bomb their car into others) 40% almost everyone commutes 45 minutes minimum to work.
I think there's a real chance that it works out decently. Mamdani is just a mayor and that limits his power to small scale projects. Id imagine that if Trump is speaking positively he didnt try to posture about keeping every illegal protected. Uf he focuses on his actual job and get some funding for his pet project grocery stores, soup kitchens, etc, he can probably do a fine job staying out of the way.
