Ill say it, Tennis is the worst, THE FUCKING WORST, rich faggot sport. It makes golf and soccer look like boxing

watching 2 euro fags whack a tiny green ball back and forth over a net like a foot tall for 3 hours should be a punishment reserved for heinous crimes not something people delude themselves into calling a sport.

I think anyone who claims to ENJOY tennis should be immediately evaluated for a loss of sapientness

I used to enjoy this kind of "leftist owned" thing but the older i get the more I realize it's sad. The energy these kids feel comes from a beautiful place.
Completely disagree, the energy they feel is completely fueled by narcissism and a superiority complex. Any one of those people could go to a local homeless shelter or something and help out and that would be infinitely more useful than advocating for infinite illegals, allowing criminals to do what they want, screaming about Palestine, or whatever the next "I support current thing" issue is that they can post about on tiktok - all while talking down to regular people about their concerns by calling them racist bigots.

He's definitely got the aura of someone who posts on KiwiFarms, 4chan, TheDonald or EJMR. He's also at prime age to have engaged with basically every iteration of the internet, from forums to social media to imageboards.
I choose to believe there’s a non zero chance Vance will end up being one of the regulars in this thread.

This is the thing people need to realize about Thiel. He's just FOX news for data analytics. He's not doing anything that all the other people in the space aren't doing. He's just the sole "conservative" alternative in the space. The biggest threat he poses is the reaction, like how every news program saw how successful FOX was by being explicit in their audience bias and decided to do the same thing, at full blast in the other direction and now MSNBC has insane racist niggers screaming about how voter ID is the same as lynching. So the corollary would be Google et al going 100% openly libfash instead of only 70%..
Palantir's main product also just being google drive/zoho office with some basic "AI features" (self-sorting) can't be stressed enough too.

That applies to sports though
Football?- Sweaty men throwing balls at each other for hours
Soccer?- Sweaty men KICKING balls at each other for hours
Basketball?-Sweaty men Bouncing/throwing balls at each other for hours

And the list goes on....

I'm confused why it matters if Vance is funded/pushed by some random retard if he's doing 90% of what the people would hypothetically vote for him would want him to do.

It reads to me like you would rather sink a good candidate for the sake of avoiding big donors, when any candidate of any value would have those donors, or be rich themselves. Its like people who would rather Kamala win than Trump do anything at all in Israel's favor. Like Kamala would be more in your favor than Trump, or any less pro Israel.

Perfect candidates don't exist, get over yourselves

Keep following after manufactured "outsiders" who will save you THIS TIME. NO FOR REAL THIS TIME THEY REALLY ARE ON OUR SIDE.

You people fall for it again and again and again.

Calling someone a "Zionist" as an insult is not only misguided but ignorant. It’s an objectively virtuous thing to advocate for the only true democracy in the Middle East. This is a state that has spent decades defending itself from relentless terrorism and attacks by ideological and religious fanatics who openly call for its destruction.

Zionism isn't about aggression or oppression; it's the national liberation movement of the Jewish people. It’s the belief that after centuries of persecution, expulsion, and genocide, the Jewish people have a right to self-determination in their ancestral homeland.

The true goal of Zionism is simple: to ensure the Jewish people have a safe place to exist. To condemn that belief is to condemn the very idea of a people having a right to their own country and security.

Israel is the closest twin in foundation and ideology to the United States. It literally is our twin brother in the world and yes that means I advocate for direct action by the United States in its defense.

The only historically consistent characteristic of the Jewish identity through history is the lack of a homeland, so I'm pretty fuckin skeptical of anybody who calls themselves a jew and plays into ethnic nationalism. It's one of the easiest litmus tests in the world on whether a Jew is a regular person or a glorified large language model

I don't disagree with any of this but you could have just said "Israelis aren't muslims" and you would have won me over. Don't overcomplicate it.

Bad faith actors argue in bad faith. Water is also wet.

For a lifelong shitlib to start sounding totally fuckn zased with so little study time shows a real gift. This is a good place to find authentic righty phrases, if not arguments. He might have stopped by to pick up some points. He's smart enough to assemble them himself.

The danger is in his being the incredibly rare "leftist" (establishment faggot) who does understand what right-wingers think, well enough to nearly convincingly imitate us—and fool any of us who are desperate for representation among the powerful.

We should remember what we ask about all other suspiciously successful /ourguys/ (except Trump, who they just accidentally didn't kill): Why is he allowed?

Can we just petition Trump to please just use some Federal funding to make a new Ames Monument?

I want to just prove we can DO it and what it takes to move stones like that, and they did that shit in 1882 Wyoming so it should be cake today in some place like DC with all our modern stuff

Dont you think we could sell Trump on this? 60 foot solid granite tower with a bronze picture of him up top? we could even go for broke and make it 500 feet tall to beat out the Egytians.

Listen I know this sounds stupid as hell but follow my logic for a second

No one has a job right now

And just to be clear this is more or less what they did in the Great depression, its where the nation got most of its modern roads, schools, dams and bridges came from.

So all im saying is do that to get the benefit of job growth and economic stability just this time instead of getting useful infrastructure we just get a big fuckoff pyramid and maybe along the way learn a thing or to.

The a quick and dirty estimation says they cost less (material wise) than a new Lambo, (lmao poor thing forgor to factor in the corruption, should have specified a government funded 60ft solid granite pyramid)

fuck it, we cut 1 hellfire missle and every state captiol can have their very own "Trump Tower" protected by the national historical building registry

Every single US politician in congress has been lobbied, and it's protected via the first amendment. How greatly that impacts the individual politician is ultimately up to the politician, but the unfortunate thing is US politicians are in a prisoner's dilemma of sorts, where if they refuse to act on behalf of their donors then their money can potentially go to the opposing side who might act where they wouldn't, and with a few notable exceptions, those who spend more tend to win more, especially when it comes to smaller-scale elections.

Theil's donations/connections to Vance could be reminiscent of Elon's donations/connections to Trump. It might just be a relative nothing burger in the end, where Theil's investment in JD could simply be to back what he perceives to be a winning horse. Another theory is that it could pay dividends in other ways that aren't overtly political. For example: did you know when Trump won in 2024, Tesla's stock value rose by 29% within a day of the results being announced? Musk was also going to get a (voted on, still blocked by a random judge) bonus of $55 billion dollars that same year. The total amount he invested in Trump's campaign? $288 million (apparently, maybe more if you count the indirect positives of the Twitter purchase), which isn't peanuts to anyone like us but it's damn near negligible compared to how much Elon can pull out his ass at any given moment if he sold some Tesla stock. If backing Vance ultimately makes Theil richer just through association, and Vance's campaign gets hundreds of millions as a consequence, then there's no drawback for either of them honestly.

We could apply the same logic to Thomas Massie. He's a contentious figure, but lauded by some on the Right since he opposed giving financial aid to Israel and Libertarians like him because they're retarded a fan of his "no pork" rhetoric. His biggest donors however are mostly composed of equity firms who pretty much need everything to remain stable and effectively as is to guarantee the stable growth they rely on for their LPs. Equity firms usually assure their LPs a return within a certain period, and one of the most reliable ways of doing this is buying up property, waiting for its value to rise, and then selling. What raises up property prices to guarantee a return? Growing population. How do you grow it in a period when birth rates are lowering? Immigration, legal or otherwise. Ergo you could conclude Massie is covertly pushing for legal immigration and hindering attempts to stop illegal immigration on behalf of the equity firms who make up the plurality of his lobbying support. Or he might not be, and is just the way he is absent of any lobbyist influence and just his individual politics.

The individual politician is often ignored when it comes to who their donor is. From our perspective a politician kissing the Jew-wall and saying, "I love Israel" is cucked and embarrassing, but the return from their perspective is millions from AIPAC for essentially lip-service (give nothing) and maintain a status-quo foreign policy (do nothing different). For a congressman who receives AIPAC money, they essentially have no responsibility to do anything when receiving it, except maybe voting yes on some aid package. Things have changed in recent times obviously, and we'll need to see how potential bipartisan resentment towards Israel might affect things in the future, but the cost-benefit of acting on behalf of the lobby and what is effectively free money for the party/campaign are factors.

If I were to be extra scrupulous and assume a universal servitude to lobbyists, then every single politician nearing retirement age (5-10 years away) should immediately be ousted. A lot of boomers hold personal interest alongside incentive to maintain the security and growth of their pensions, which are are mostly tied to equity firms, who also lobby in their own interests. Factor in how these firms make their cash (real estate; investment in large, "safe" companies; buying devalued companies to regain their value for sale) then it makes sense why Boomercons are so caustic in responding to attempts to change the status quo, since the way they see it, it's their money on the line if things go tits up and it negatively affects their retirement.

TLDR: It either doesn't matter at all, or it matters a lot – case-by-case basis for most politicians.
