I remember sitting in a history class and the professor was telling us about the wonderful and empowered lives of the Sultan's Harem. How they were more empowered than the women in Europe. The only two points I know of when it comes to "cheating" is China manipulating their currency to keep their exports strong and them abusing USPS "de minimis" rules to ship chinkshit to America at super low prices. That's it.

There's a bit more to it.

They generally do not honor contracts, because there is a cultural viewpoint that it's okay to cheat so long as you do not get caught.

Say you have a plastic container for your shampoo or whatever. What Chinese factories do is very slowly use less and less plastic in the container until you either notice or a shipment collapses. Now, when this happens, they know that the brand owner is fucked because they are typically on the hook for X units to Y retailer or what have you. So the Chinese factory owners then say "sure we can fix the issue, but price will go up."
