I know this is a meme but this is really true. Historically, its easier for the strongman leader to fuck around with everyone and anyone except the cadre of squabbling nobles directly underneath him.

That's why historical purges from Marius to Stalin involve wiping out the middle management before anyone else then picking up the pieces or replacing them outright

We'll have to save that for Imperator Baron Trumpius Canadius, though

I hate this particular bit of misinformation Obama did not "get" Osama Bin Laden.

What actually happened is that the CIA searched extensively for a decade with zero results until A Pakistani intelligence asset reported that a very large and very expensive fortified compound was being built in a suburban neighborhood for no conceivable reason and anyone who asked about it was told to piss the fuck off.

We "got" Bin Laden because some random Arab dude nooticed something suspicious and reported it.
It's worse than that.

bin Laden was spotted REPEATEDLY by regular active Army or Marine units. Just "Joe Snuffy from Nebraska" shit. When they'd call back, they'd be told to hold position "there's notable reinforcements nearby and uh... you might catch on fire..."

Then fucking SOCOM would throw itself on the ground kicking and screaming until they got to deploy someone from the SEALs or what the fuck ever.

Eighteen hours later they'd get there to find out that bin Laden left after someone brought him a new tire and fixed his car.

This shit happened repeatedly.

It almost happened with Saddam, but the guys that had found him were "Fuck that!" and dragged him out themselves, which made SOCOM have a bitchmade meltdown about it.

For all the doomer talk about how Trump is too cowardly to 'cross the Rubicon' the man who actually did proved to be able to conquer Gaul but not the Senators that literally stabbed him in the back.

This isn't even getting into Bill Clinton having bin Laden dead to rights back in the nineties and letting him get away. Clinton is just as responsible for 9/11 and the following Iraq War as Bush.

Just fast https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-14190032 where we totally fucked it up.

There's others out there. 2003 was another date IIRC.

Personally, I find I'm enjoying that fact that Trump is the National Guard of wars. 1 Weekend War a month, Two Weeks a Year.

Something the pollsters (and drunk spiraling fucking loser faggots like rich baris) could learn, nothing is more popular than WINNING. and Trump has been on a generational run this year.
Older generations are also stuck in the WW2 iconography of the brave heroic grunts STORMIN THE HECKIN BEACHES!!!

Younger generations understand that as technology progresses so too should the means of fighting.
If we have the means of just killing anyone anywhere around the world, then maybe we should use that our advantage instead of reliving the nostalgia of STORMIN THE HECKIN BEACHES!!!

As the saying goes, "With friends like these, who needs enemies?"

Trump's probably on better terms with Kim Jong Un than he is with the dozens of snakes he's dealt with over his political career. Is it even possible to list them all out?
