I'm starting to see Musk dunking on the White House account with their own fact checkers as a net positive these days.

EDIT: Holy FUCK this woman is fat. And also she's a lesbian? Kind of a weird combination to be for her to make her entire grift about abortion rights, considering her chances of an unwanted pregnancy are close to zero.

A large part of the red wave petering out can be laid a Mitch McConnell's feet. The way that funds were managed was absurd; millions were spent protecting RINOs from primary challengers while Trump-backed candidates in competitive races were starved for cash. The GOP warchest was weaponized by the neocons in their never-ending quest to put down any sort of populist uprising, and they squandered a chance to make pretty huge gains in the House and Senate.

Oz also only won the primary in Pennsylvania because the 'moderate' alternative was a steaming pile of dogshit, like 95% of PA Republicans. He went up against a hedgefund CEO who was balls deep in the Bush-era swamp. Essentially, the Republican establishment are playing a game of chicken with the base, refusing to moderate any of their positions or give Trumpism a foothold in the party. This election was proof that people like McConnell are willing to burn the party down before they allow it to be moved beyond this morose Reagan pantomime that they've been performing since the Cold War.

That only applies to newer right wing populists, considering they don't buckle to lobbyists once in office. The worst aspects of the democrats are just as present in the republican old guard. I know it can be easy to deify a politician you like, but 9/10 of these people are some of the slimiest fucks on the planet. Don't put too much faith in them or you'll always be disappointed.

I like how there are people who are still pretending that there is no fuckery in these elections and that it doesn't effect the end total.
 
Republicans fantasize about raising the voting age, which would require a constitutional amendment, because it's impossible, while actually running the schools in the states they control should be pretty straightforward, but would require getting off their asses and doing things.
 
In many states, certain 17 year olds can vote (sometimes it’s only for the primary though). Reasons being if you turn 18 on Election Day or are taking a political class in highschool etc. In 4 states 17 year olds can vote as long as they are voting democrat. (I am not sure how that’s fair, hard to find more information about it).

Of course there's fuckery, there has been in plenty of elections in the past. But nothing is ever done about it post hoc, you have to counter it beforehand. Some states pulled off some pretty smart strategies to counteract it, like having rural areas hold back their votes until the urban centers counted, so they couldn't magic up 'just enough' votes like in 2016. But a lot of them, including those in PA, did nothing effective to counteract it. That's another failing of Republican lawmakers, who can't help but bend over backwards, cringing and whimpering, if someone on the news calls them an 'election denier'.
 
It's so quaint how there are still people who actually think the silly game where people put the papers in the box actually means anything, analyzing it and shit like it's a serious pursuit.
That's right, come on out and play voting; if you fill out the bubbles just right, then it will fix the world! Because that's how reality works, people in power just give up their power to people who have no demonstrable leverage if they ask nicely.

Like yeah, this right here is going to be what does it. When I slide this paper into the machine next to the nice older lady over there who hands out the "I voted!" stickers, the globalists are done for.

People need to stop feeding into the delusion that voting is to be taken seriously or that it matters what the outcome is, because it gives people who don't know better the impression that the system at this point is something they're a participant in rather than something administered to them. I'd still say to vote, but don't bother taking it seriously as a process.

I find that this election is just like every other election that wasn't 2020. People are generally dissatisfied with their choices and pick the devil they know.

  • People's perceptions were also skewed in part by the fact that Republicans were defending 7 more seats in the Senate races than Democrats.
  • Redistricting created new congressional maps that are being used for the first time
  • Social media networks have suppressed Republicans from being able to share their views openly

Republicans did what they do best: insist on being tone-deaf.

The reason Florida went cherry red is because they focused on the cultural issues instead of the economy (which the Pooper-In-Chief manipulated in time for the election) which resonantes greatly with most people that are horrified with the freak show going on and that’s being mandated to children via Public Indoctrination.

So Abortion loses you all the thot and simp vote but opposing the troon agenda in many places ensures family votes.

All of these things were seen in the recent Virginia lab and the GOP failed to learn from that and apply it at scale.

It’s funny how learning about stuff like this doesn’t even phase me anymore. At this point I’m surprised when there aren’t any Democratic-favored laws for something in some state.

The way you do something about it post hoc is by passing laws explicitly stating that ballots which don't have chain of custody, were collected without watchers present, etc, aren't valid and must be removed from the total. But of course, passing such a law would be fought viciously by the Democrats, and you've seen how unwilling Republicans are even to pass laws requiring identification to vote in states where they don't already run the table every election.

It's not that stopping voter fraud is in itself hard, it's that it requires sacking up and doing things that will make the liberals shriek in rage, and why do that when tax cuts are the easy, automatic win?

The parties write their own primary rules. The Democrats are comfortable letting retarded kids vote in their primaries, because it makes them more likely to turn out for the general, and their primaries are rigged anyway. The Republicans have different ways of rigging their primaries, but they're more fragile, which is why big upsets like Trump happen. So they could let kids vote in those primaries, but they have no reason to. It would just make it harder to nominate Romneys and Bushes.
