Since there are a good number of promising (and not so promising) movies coming out in the near future, I think we should have a thread discussing how we think these movies will be.

To start off with, WWZ is going to be utter shite, and is going to make anyone who either read the book or who likes zombie movies in general want to gut Brad pit with a spoon. It is basically a Roland Emmerich film with some crappily CGId zombies.

(also, Marble Hornets is officially going to be made into a film now, and is being produced by the guys who produced Paraormal activity. I actually had to be restrained by my roomates not to do a drunken jig of happiness on the kitchen table)

Holy SHIT. I'm definitely going to see this, but I have a feeling it's going to be like when I saw Sinister a while back and I couldn't sleep all night.
Going to see Oz the Great and Powerful next week. I love me some James Franco and Mila Kunis.

I'm a real loser fanboy about this stuff. See,if they run and reanimation only happens through bites,then I just can't enjoy it. I need the Romero rules.

World War Z is having a movie? Damn they always make the films before I finish the books...

I'm kind of anticipating Catching Fire.

I'm into dystopian fiction so this is something I'd like a lot. I also like the look of Epic. If it's written by William Joyce (the original story was) then it can't be too bad. I have a thing for Thor so Thor 2 sounds good for me.

Looking forward to the new Star Trek film and Anchorman 2, although I will likely be disappointed by both. I am sure Iron Man 3 will be fucking fantastic.

The Evil Dead remake is looking good. Of course, it just won't be the same without Sam and Bruce (I know that they're producing it, I mean it won't be the same without Sam's directing and Bruce's acting).

My only gripe with the movie so far is the title, mainly due to this:

I should also add, the people who made the film weren't aware of the L4D add-on, nor the old TV movie of the same name.

Saw Oz the Great and Powerful last night and it was extremely "meh". The CGI was really, really bad in some places - mostly where IRL humans were interacting with CG characters. Who Framed Roger Rabbit came out over 20 years ago and knew how to integrate characters so much more effectively than this.
Also it's as if none of the actors wanted anything to do with this movie, or switched between that or being extremely hammy in scenes.
I still can't fully hate the movie though. With a more capable cast and better effects it could've been a lot more enjoyable.

I have such high hopes for Pacific Rim, and it's going to be one of the last movies I can see in theaters (I'm six months pregnant as of today so sitting for over an hour without a bathroom break is risky) so if it sucks I'm going to be fifty shades of pissed.

Other than that I've heard rumors of the Dark Tower series being released in theaters and that would definitely get me excited if it's actually happening.
