I think he means it's gonna be worse than the Great Recession in the late 2000's but not as bad as the Great Depression of the 1930's.
Which is still likely going to be a depression. IIRC, we had multiple depressions during the 19th century and we could see something like that. Especially since there will no doubt be significant advances to automation during the 2020s, especially since politicians will no doubt want to keep their population they lead over dependent on them.

I bet they are gonna drop the $15 thing, its all theatrics for the plebs, many would say borderline populism

If not then its going to trigger the automation wave many were expecting. Years ago I saw this wall-sized robot barista that made coffee better than actual baristas do, you could punch any insane combination you wanted through your app and it would "remember" how you like your coffee in every location thanks to a shared database.

But starbucks didnt buy them, why? too costly, meatbag baristas were still cheaper

With this? not anymore, even though installing these machines takes a lot of investment that will take years to pay off its still the better option. I know of startups that have robots that can make pizzas, flip burgers and a number of other food jobs. Delivery is next, the biggest hurdle is regulatory, basically what happens when an amazon drone has a problem, falls from the sky and kills a bitch?. Once thats done you can kiss the gig economy goodbye, same with drivers now that waymo and others are getting better.

Now that I think about it maybe the $15 was actually pushed by biden's funders to justify the automation. Big tech has a lot to win from this and they already make a big chunk of the sniffer's cabinet.
Don't buy crypto. It's too late
Why tho
Remember non-muricans, if our economy tanks, yours will soon follow.
Many countries already trade more with china than us, if anything this would increase that trend and if dollar inflation keeps rising they might dump the dollar too

When that happens we're fucked for reals, think russia in the 1990s

This year I'm saving up for a RV or Travel Trailer. Stocking up on food and moving in the middle of nowhere. I think the world will be going down fast and quickly.

When we start talking about the economic depression, we always remember the end of the twenties of the last century and the economic crisis that was at that time. I am also currently studying the history of this period and I am very interested in the question of the Dust Bowl or dust storm, which is revealed in many books, including The Grapes of Wrath and Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. On the site https://graduateway.com/essay-examples/dust-bowl/ I found some useful articles about the dust storm and its impact on the development of the region.
Good video.
