I don't think cawadooby is a bad game

While I kinda hated some of the trends that CoD popularized in games(or design choices that affected other games from outside the genre), the CoD games themselves were pretty fun if you excused the fact that especially with the modern warfare/ghosts titles you're basically playing the same game over and over. I'd say that while the series has been fairly stagnant, CoD's reputation kinda suffers a little from contrarianism from people who think CoD's existence is somehow "killing gaming" or whatever.

You hear a Bloodsucker coming and you fucking jump.

Until their A.I spazzes out or you learn their aggro range leashes .

I have to agree that Outlast gets boring to watch. After the doctor is dealt with, the game takes a massive nosedive.

Yeah, most horror games where you don't have weapons end up with comically slow monsters that you have to hide in closets from while they shuffle around looking for you.

For the record, there are horror games like this where you can fight back, albeit indirectly. And the monsters/stalkers will actually chase after you instead of waddling along. *cough*Haunting Ground*cough*

Those sorts of games end up resembling Scooby Doo episodes more than anything else.

This is how I feel about Amnesia. The servant grunts are creepy at first, but they quickly become silly. It doesn't help that Daniel's hand holding the lantern looks like a drumstick.

Alien Isolation is fucking terrifying, and the system they use is basically you get 2 freebies if you have a flamethrower and the Alien sees you, and then after that you're fucked. I think that's a good compromise between wading through zombies like they're tissue paper and the PC being made of tissue paper.

Here's an opinion so this isn't off topic: Civ 3 Gold is still the best Civilization game.

I actually like Curtis Stryker.

He's especially dope in MK9. I wish I had an excuse for opening with "Police force brutality, coming up!" every time I walked up to somebody.

I used to love FFVIII when I was a kid, and I still kind of sort of dig it in spite of its many, many flaws. I wasn't really impressed by FFIX, though, and most FF fans regard it as the best thing the franchise has to offer next to IV and VI.

I don't think cawadooby is a bad game. I've played it a bit with my friend, and I find that there is a level of depth that people look past. But then again, I was younger then, so what do I know?

I'm sure the games themselves aren't bad at all. The series got popular for a reason after all.

I think people are more annoyed at how the guys who made the games keep releasing it yearly and how several developers play follow the leader with it.

I think the Bloodrayne games deserved a 3rd and 4th entry in the series (ps3/360 and current gen +PC). I think games are far too concerned with being "Good" now and not concerned enough with being cool. Its like there's no room for B-games anymore and if they get made the tone is always "lol super ironic over the top" rather than actually trying to be earnestly cool.

Bloodrayne games were never "good" by conventional standards, but they were awesome if that makes sense. Its like 80s action movies....they're not "good" but they do rule and were not made "ironically".

Also, I actually like 80% of Uwe Boll's vidja to movie adaptations. He's a two fisted German badass who doesn't afraid of anyone.

I think that it's ludicrous to claim that The Sims 4 should have all of the features that were included in all of 3's expansion packs in the base game.
That would take an absurd amount of time and money. EA would have to sell an insane number of copies to break even. There's a reason why they had to charge extra for those expansion packs in the first place.

I'm not saying that there's an excuse for things like pools not being in the base game, but people who're screaming about the fact that they can't go to college etc right out of the box are just whining.

If anything, it made perfect sense that the enemies should have been black considering where the setting was located. Not to mention Sheva is black (even though she was added after all the nonsense), so it wouldn't even be considered racist anyway.

I can't stand any of the characters in NIS games, hearing kawaii desu characters swear as much as possible makes me cringe so hard.
I'm also tired of all their games being about criminals and morally evil characters, it's all the same shit.

Skyrim is extremely overrated. It's still a top tier game, it just gets way too much praise. Also, I personally find Minecraft to be the most enjoyable game in history.

I think the Phillips CDI and the 3DO had some great games. The CDI had Burn Cycle, Pac-Attack, and Tetris and the 3DO had The Need For Speed, PO'd and Gex.

My favorite part of games like RPGs (or any game with levels and/or looting) is grinding. People seem to talk about grinding in games like it is a negative, but I disagree. Heck, in my opinion the meat of most good RPGs is grinding and looting.

Even as a kid, I never understood the huge deal people made over the Kingdom Hearts and Super Smash Bros. games.

I won't deny that it's kind of cool for all these characters to meet up in some form, but I guess these series' crossover novelty wore out their welcome pretty damn quickly -- especially when it comes the storylines, which just come off as something you'd find a seven year old kid write for a school project. (To be fair, I do adore the SSBB main menu music and that Simple and Clean song from KH1.)

Edit: Also I think A Link to the Past is one of the most overrated vidyas of all time. I mean, it's pretty much the Platonic ideal of a perfect top-down perspective adventure game, but it's still, ya know, a top-down adventure game. Heck, I played the shit out of it when I was about eight on my cousin's super old SNES and have a lot of nostalgia for it, but that doesn't keep me from realizing that it has a lot of flaws and a downright idiotic linearly structured storyline.

With the release of The Sims 4 in September there has been a lot of back in forth in the fan community over the quality of The Sims 4 compared to The Sims 3. A lot has been made over the lack of features especially the open neighborhood in the previous game and create a style, but I actually like The Sims 4 better it reminds me of The Sims 2 in a lot of ways. I also like love the game Civ Rome which was a commercial flop and hated by most fans of the Civilization games, but I generally enjoy city building games.
