Unpopular Opinions about Video Games

Yeah, I do the same.

I normally wait and romance Tali in Mass Effect 2 but Ashley is the one I normally save.

Still her romance is pretty good and she has some fun lines despite not being my favorite romance option.
Ash was my first romance, when I first played the game. Then it was Tali, then Liara.

The devs realized that a good number of the players really liked Ashley, so they glammed her up in the third game.

That kind of makeover would never fly nowadays. If you proposed something like this to a modern western AAA game dev studio, you'd get fired faster than you can say "HR complaint".

Any game that's deliberately delaying itself so it's not getting released within the same QUARTER as GTA VI might as well get scrapped because what's the fucking point of releasing a game if the developers themselves don't even believe in it?

JUST FUCKING RELEASE IT YOU STUPID NIGGERS. Oh no, you'll sell 5 million copies instead of 5.5 million copies and be placed 2nd in some sales chart for a few weeks instead of 1st. Big fucking deal. Do video game developers believe we're some retarded hivemind that can only process playing one game per year? Worse still, it makes every developer other than Rockstar look like a complete beta bitch who is scared of a fucking video game release.

It's such a cowardly defeatist mindset and the real kicker is that the game doesn't even get polished another few months, it still releases in a buggy state that requires 2 months of patches for no fucking reason. I'm sick of it.
GTA6 should delay itself every few months so that every game by a pussy publisher/developer also gets pushed back and that chunk of the industry dies #eugenics.

Never actually played ME, but whenever it gets brought up I remember this image and have a sensible chuckle, enjoy:

The video games I play are almost exclusively pirated and at least five years old, so I virtually always get any DLC expansions inserted into the main game without having the slightest clue what or where they are when I start playing. But the vast, vast majority of the time I can identify when I've reached it because the game suddenly becomes much worse. It's the case going back to the advent of DLC in the mid/late 2000s and across every developer and every genre.

I can't believe people continue to pay extra for DLC when it so routinely sucks compared to the base game.

Back then, I find it beneficial to have GotY editions so you’d have its DLC and the base game at a discounted price. Example: some sales have Borderlands up to 3 with all the DLC discounted at $40 from its $150 MSRP.

What about those who beat Castlevania II?
Patience of a Saint, I suppose.

That's usually how I bought Bethesda games and fighting games. I bought Skyrim, Oblivion, New Vegas, and Fallout 3, they came at $20 a piece and had all the DLC in it.

I feel sorry for the sad saps that paid $60 for the base game and more for the DLCs.

Mass Effect is what happens when you make a dating sim that also doubles as a shooter/RPG.

I literally fucked the Asari consort within 30 minutes of landing on the Citadel. The Glorious Seed of Humanity found its way into an Asari womb within less than an hour of Shepard showing up on the Citadel.

They're making these games looking at numbers on paper, and the numbers show that people do only play a handful of games a year. You and I might play more but 2 < 100,000 - 1,000,000 shown on paper in the board room. Still no excuse for the poor state of launch though.

Lots of people don't finish games, either. I remember reading about this a long time ago and I can't remember the exact numbers. Without looking it up I'd say the average 8-15h single player game gets beaten by less than half the players.

Each game on Steam that has achievements also shows the global achievement rate, so in most cases it is possible to check these stats per game if you know what to look for. It also shows you how many people actually bothered to play they game they've bought and some of these stats are quite jarring (for example only 79% of people who own Kingdom Come Deliverance finished the very first quest which takes maybe 20 minutes).

It depends on how I'm feeling at the time. PM64 is perfect if you want something a bit more lighthearted.
I personally prefer it for being a bit simpler yet still engaging. Not that TTYD is bad or anything; it too is great, but the first one just clicks more with me.

No, the Vivian "fandom" bs is not one of my reasons for preferring PM64. The people saying that the character is a troon are retards.

Anyone who's beaten Castlevania Symphony of the Night has basic gaming motor skills.

Anyone who's beaten Castlevania Circle of the Moon has the patience of a saint and the skills of a god.
What about those who beat Castlevania II?
SotN, CotM, and CV2 are all harder than beating NES Castlevania with no save states or continues

source: that's the only one of those I beat

bug fables >>>>>>>>>>> mario rpg >> your post
Mario RPG sounds retarded because it's not a game where Mario has a rocket launcher. Why didn't they do that instead of that gayass game where he has a watergun.
