The world is a terrible place full of hate-filled, spiteful people. There are countless men envious of what they don't have, and women bitter at what they've lost. There are millions who hate the world for no reason in particular, because ultimately life can just suck. There's been about an entire civilization's worth of experience to support that. For many people life is nothing but suffering and spite, eking out days as a bachelor or spinster, spreading derision and hating others for some perceived slight, or whatever reason they can conjure up. But living life isn't meant to be easy, so why bitch about the obvious shit everyone has experienced? Think back through your last couple days and see if there was anything that really made you feel good, no matter how minor or passing it may have been in the moment. The world doesn't need to be full of nothing but hate, some things really are worth appreciating.

Today, I had a kind woman at the grocery store ask for help in broken English. Then she told me she appreciated my kindness and wished the rest of my day would be good. It's almost Fall, and all of the leaves have been changing shockingly fast. Trees look beautiful when their leaves go from muted golden yellow to a vibrant chartreuse all on the same canopy.

I am thankful for waking up and having food in the fridge every day, and the money to purchase it.

For some reason, people ask me directions and other things at school. It's nice to be able to help them and funny that I look put together enough to be relied on. :D

My friends make sure to send me pictures of their cats because I gush about them when they're sent. :heart-full:

There's a lot of very pretty nature in Florida. I bitch about the weather but seeing things like bald eagles, red shouldered hawks, families of ducks and sandhill cranes, racoons, night time spooked rabbits, frogs in the rain, and even the occasisonal larger mammal like a deer is great.

Every dog that I walk by who comes up to be petted is the best dog ever. :heart-full:

Cats and dogs are probably the greatest thing to happen to mankind. Never had any pets myself so I'm also grateful for any chance I get when visiting friends and families with them. Wildlife is easy to take for granted too, especially in a lot of the States since there's so much variety even just in the suburbs - there are squirrels, chipmunks, skunks, raccoons, opossums of course but also near parks rabbits, deer, hawks, owls, toads and frogs and even foxes once in a while. Nature's fantastic. :)
